This super cute chicken swing comes fully assembled. All you have to do is configure a way to hang it from the ceiling of your chicken run. I used one of the two provided carabiners and attached both of the rope loops to that one carabiner. I did have to use some additional twine of my own because I have 8 foot tall ceilings in my chicken run. This chicken swing seems to be made of nice quality wood and rope. Love the clips that came with the swing to help with easy install, however, I had to tie a knot in the rope to hang on my slanted coop ceiling, and the knot isn’t exactly sturdy. The media could not be loaded. This was a fun swing for the baby chicks to enjoy! It’s got a sturdy base and the strings are long enough to hand from up high or lower until the chicks get older. It took a little bit of time before i caught one of my chickens using the swing. It was easy to install in the coop. I find several of them "swinging" on the swing now that they are use to it. Just install the eyelet screws at the appropriate spacing (or close to it) and adjust the length of the ropes, and your chickens will be swinging in no time! It has been pretty entertaining seeing how my girls have used this swing. They aren't on it all of the time, but there is one hen in particular that seems to like sitting on the swing for extended periods. There was a bit of a learning curve for them to figure out how to dismount without the board swinging back into them after they got off, but they are doing much better with that after a week or two. This swing is really nicely made. It’s milled into a gentle arc shape, with nice details at the ends. Very solid feeling hardwood. There are balls on the ropes that look nice but also gave the chickens something to look at. Mine didn’t jump on it right away, but eventually figured it out.
