I desperately needed something bigger fast to save my chickens from the neighbors dogs coming over daily so I ordered this. I had it in my cart while I shopped for something else. I had a message within maybe an hour that they upped the price on it. I thought that was incredibly tacky considering it was already in my cart. I paid around $450-460 after tax for this. This came fast in two separate boxes. I could not put this together alone so I ensued the help of a construction man. It was much easier but still time consuming with him. The frame is easy. The door is harder although he said that it was easy. I would have never figured the door out alone and I read directions well. I purchased heavier zip ties even thought their zip ties are not that bad and made certain that I put it where no trees or limbs would fall on it. It must be on level ground. The boxes were not bent or messed up so there is no blaming USP for a bad delivery like some companies do to get UPS to pay for the damage. Having said that, some of the poles inside the box were damaged but only a few. The frame is bowed in on both sides and leans toward the middle for some reason. There are no stakes included and we are hoping buying tent stakes will fix this problem since it's only on the bottom. The plastic coating is easy to put up but very time consuming. You simply start at the bottom, flip it over the top, pull tight, zip tie it all around and cut it off at the bottom and the restart the middle section the same way. It will not keep predators out and we will eventually redo the sides with 2x4 welded wire. The worst thing with this is trying to reach Amazon. We put the frame together and realized that we needed some bent poles replaced. They are toward the top so we still put it together thinking we would just maybe pull out the bent poles and replace with new ones once they came. You cannot ever get through to a live person on Amazon so their chat box told me to return it. I did not spend hours putting this thing together to take it apart and return it for just 2-3 bent poles. Overall, is this a good coop? Yes, it is. Is it worth the $450 that I paid for it after tax. No, maybe not especially considering we will have to redo the sides. It would easily be worth $300 though. Maybe even $350. ... show more

  • No replacement parts but good structure
Pattern Name: Spire Size: 9.8’L x 13.1’W x 6.4’H
Poles snap together so secure. Instead of plastic ties to attach caging used wrapped wire wrapped onto poles and through caging. Door hard to fit so added folded wire caging 4 inches to door edge to keep chickens in and predators out. Coated caging wire bit through by fox so added galvanized caging wire from ground poles to 1.5 feet where exposed, stopped holes. If doing alone, start caging before put on last 2 upright posts so can do on ground not on ladder. Took full day to snap together and wire 2 sides and top panels. Needed next day to finish caging and cover with sun screen and tarp. ... show more

  • Working as a Rabbit Colony
Pattern Name: Spire Size: 9.8’L x 13.1’W x 6.4’H
The fencing is difficult to put up and will need 2 people. They don't give you enough zip ties and if you pull tight, they break. Shade cloth is skimpy. Other than that, it works good (not tested a winter yet). I'm using it as a rabbit colony. Chickens would be fine in here but I wouldn't use it for a dog unless it was like a little chihuahua because 0a bigger dog would eventually break out. ... show more

  • It is like tent poles, just a little stronger.
Pattern Name: Flat Size: 9.2’L x 18.7’W x 6.4’H
I know these are selling well. My experience has not been all bad. Assembly is easy with the poles. It gets tougher putting on wire. Just took my time putting roll on the outside of section working on and rolling it over top and didn't cut it until the section was in place and zip tied in place.

  • Decent when reinforced
Pattern Name: Spire Size: 9.8’L x 19.7’W x 6.4’H
The media could not be loaded. Used as chicken enclosure and they're put away into a coop at night. Definitely needs reinforcement to be sturdy and keep out predators, if steaking into the ground, the plate detached from the corner and immediately began rusting. Ran out of the little/weak zip ties and some snapped. Decent for price but flawed for sure. ... show more

  • Great engineering
Pattern Name: Flat Size: 9.2’L x 18.7’W x 6.4’H
Soooo i procrastinated for a whole month putting this up because of reviews saying how long it took and it did take me and my teen 5 hours, the initial frame was pretty quick taking 1 1/2 hrs, the front part including the door was fiddly and the covering of the chicken wire wasn’t fun, but the whole concept was clever and how it was designed was good, there was no way i could of done it on my own though, we still have some finishing off to do, neatening wire edges and securing the bottom of the wire a bit more (as one of our smaller chickens did figure out how to get under it, and they say chickens are dumb) but on the whole it all went well, pick someone you get on with and work well with and then just get on with it. ... show more

  • Chicken coop run
Pattern Name: Spire Size: 9.8’L x 13.1’W x 6.4’H
The only problem with the coop is we had two parts (D) that had the holes in the wrong place and we had to drill new holes. It would be nice to have more heavy duty ties since a few broke as we were tightening them. Other than the two parts that had holes in the wrong place, it is a very easy to assemble. I recommend purchasing this. You may also want to purchase an extra tarp to go on the other top and stronger twist ties to add in between the weaker ones that they provide. One other problem was it needed more detailed instructions. The second photo shows a gadget in a bag and the directions that do not explain where it goes. ... show more
