We bought a pair of adjustable skates for our daughter for Christmas that she loved but they were a tad too tight. She wanted a pair of white skates with pink wheels and these had good reviews so we ordered them. They’re cute, but that’s about it. The wheels are horrible and the boot doesn’t have any cushioning and isn’t sturdy. We will make them work until she grows out of them with thick socks and new wheels for them. ... show more

I purchased these for my granddaughter as part of her "Santa Claus" She loves them! They are a little big but growing room for awhile and thick socks did the trick. The wheels were tight when purchased and that's okay...made it easier for her to get her skating legs and stay upright. The boot is a man made material with a plastic eyelet instead of the metal hooks which made the lacing more time consuming but not to bad. However the tongue would be better if it had the loops to include while lacing them up. (Tongue tends to slide to the side and down) The height of the boot gives good ankle support. The wheels being tight were perfect for a beginner to learn on. She is rolling along and I can already tell I will be buying another pair in the future. ... show more

These were exactly what we expected, a great beginner skate for our 6 year old daughter who is just starting to skate. She only uses these for the roller rink. Like other reviewers have mentioned, the tongue does slide around, so I will be making a couple of slits in it to thread the laces through. Also, make sure you tighten the breaks down, we lost one while skating, but that might have been because it was getting quite a bit of use!
