I’m here and the nights are getting colder and the days are bringing rain. And my winter clothes are in a closet a couple thousand miles away. Didn’t expect that to happen, so time for some quick shopping to keep me warm. It doesn’t make sense to buy a wardrobe when all I need is one good all-around jacket. After searching a bit I found this one, which looks like it will keep me warm and dry. WHAT YOU GET The jacket is a good compromise between being light and thin enough to be worn from Autumn through Spring and all but the frostiest winter days. It is water repellant so it will help keep my dry on most days but it’s not really a raincoat. While it is lined note that the lining is not removable, that can be of some concern if you have days that start out cold but turn warmer later on, so can’t compensate for that by removing the lining. The closures are secure and of good quality. Unique is a removable faux fur collar that can help keep your neck warm on cold windy days, a nice touch. FIT I’ve tried to stay away from rating a clothing item on the way it fits, does it really help you to know how it fits me? A better question is how accurate is their manufacturing process to accept sizing standards in the region they are being sold, in my case the north Americas. This one seems to run true to size in all dimensions so it gets a passing grade. THINGS TO KNOW Some of the things I like about this jacket include that it has a deep inner pocket for my wallet or phone, it has both snaps and a full length zipper, the big furry hoodie can be completely removed and the sleeves of a soft warm inner sleeve to keep snow, rain and cold out. As noted above though, the fur lining is not removable, which makes the jacket not thick but quite heavy. YES NO MAYBE A tri-season jacket is a good investment, and this one is especially good because it is so budget friendly. It’s good looking too. I got this jacket for my son who lives in Brooklyn. He really likes it and reported it keeps him warm, it is truly waterproof for rain and snow and has all kinds of pockets for storage. Most importantly, it has been keeping him warm this winter.

    • Tight in the chest, and the hood is too small

The sizing of this thing is all out of wack. The chest is too tight, and too long. The sleeves are about the right length, but they bunch up at the shoulder. I like that the hood can zip off, but it's too small to properly cover your head. I'd of ordered a bigger size, but the sizing chart says it should have been perfect, and the sleeves match, so any bigger and I'd have way to long of sleeves. ... show more

    • Keeps me warm during the current cold front
This Jacket is nice and fits well. It blocks the wind and keeps me warm when I'm outside. At some point when I move around outside, it gets a bit warm and I have to take the jacket off. The fur comes off for when you want to use it or not. It's easy to wash and is good quality. It's not something I could workout in but it will definitely keep me warm throughout this cold front. ... show more
