I really like this jacket. It is comfortable and warm, and thick without being too heavy. It is not a lightweight jacket, but it's not like wearing a heavy parka that constricts your movement. My arms have full range of motion, and it doesn't ride up. I like that it has a lot of pockets, including two on the interior on either side. There is a glove pocket and a hand pocket, as well as side zips. It's really well laid out, and I have no trouble carrying my phone, gloves, hat and whatever else along with me while I'm outside. The hood is nice and big, and while I don't care for the faux fur all that much (it is removable), it's nice to have the option. I've been wearing it in northern Wisconsin so far this winter, and even on the coldest days I'm usually okay with just a shirt on underneath with my hat and gloves, and I've only had to use an additional layer once. Really nice looking coat. Lots of nice design details and tailoring to flatter the torso for a bulky winter coat. Fit seems slightly on the smaller side, but still fits good. But if you're in between sizes may want to size up. Main body of the coat is lined on inside with a fake fur type material. Has lots of pockets. You may still need an extra layer or two if you live in an extreme cold (single digits or negative degrees) area but decently warm winter coat for average winter temps. However, couple small flaws that does make me question quality of coat slightly - inside coat pockets do not match. One pocket is the same furry lining material while the other is just a flat fabric. Also, one of the inner arm seams was ripped - easy enough to sew up, but speaks to quality issues. The tear did let me see into the type of stuffing material which is a synthetic cotton made up of lots of very thin, hard plastic fibers. Inside of sleeves are not the same fake fur lining, but the typical thin, smooth fabric, and sometimes can feel a poking irritation on the arms when wearing short sleeves - which assuming is a reaction to the thin plastic fibers that the synthetic cotton is composed of. Thankfully irritation is mild and not as much of an issue with long sleeves. Hard to say if that will go away with time and washes; but for the time being works as a decent winter coat. ... show more

This coat is for me, a woman. I like to err on the side of largesse ;) and usually wear a women's XL. I ordered a men's large. The tag says large but the inside label says XL. Reviewers say it runs small. Did the company size up in response to reviews or was it simply a mistake? In any case It feels like I am wearing my brother's coat but not so big that I can't move. There are a number of places to correct for the size; you can snap the wrists tighter, you can close the neck area and you can pull in the string around the waist. The waist band location is a bit odd for a man's jacket. You can button up the jacket without zipping it for more air, or you can do close both for less air. I happen to like how the fur hood rim looks like my crazy hair is sticking out. The coat is long enough on me to allow me to sit on a snowy bench and not get a wet behind. Guys ordering the correct size probably won't get this benefit. The best thing about this jacket, however, is the overwhelming selection of pockets. One of my pet peeves is that many jackets and hoodies lack an interior pocket for your valuables. This coat has so many pockets both inside and out, with so many different ways to close them, you might be holding up the express checkout line while you pat yourself down to find for your credit card. Is it warm enough? I am an Arizonan stuck in the Midwest this winter. I did not have a winter coat. I will never know if this coat is warm enough because when it is cold outside I don long underwear, a T shirt, a cashmere sweater, a hoodie, gloves, a scarf and hat.     • Warm, durable, tons of pockets
This winter coat is super nice. I've been wearing it out most days since winter weather finally arrived here. I wore it while sledding all day yesterday and it kept me warm and dry. The material on the outer shell of the jacket is a strong canvas type material that should hold up well compared to puffy jackets and the like. The inner material is very soft and feels warm against the skin. The sleeves, collar and waist can be cinched down to keep air out. The hood and collar can cover enough of your face to nearly replace a balaclava. The faux fur hood liner can be removed, which I promptly did. This jacket has a TON of pockets. I used the zippered breast pocket for easy access to my phone. There are side pockets for warming your hands or storing gloves, and interior pockets as well. Overall I think this is my ideal winter jacket. I haven't found anything I dislike about it. 5/5 ... show more

I like this coat. It has many features found in more expensive coats. It has a zipper and snaps on the front to keep the coat closed if you get too hot. It has many pockets, just like other more expensive coats. The fleece lining of the coat and the hood makes this coat very warm. It has enough pockets to carry 2 cell phones at the same time. I wore this coat in the heavy rains of the northwest and didn't get wet. I prefer the snaps on this coat rather than hook and loop fasteners. They are easy to open and they stay closed when snapped. It has a comfortable cuff for the wrists that keep your arms warm. I wear size small and the coat was true to size. I like this coat and would buy it again. ... show more
