Our 24" long extended Aluminum Floor Mount is to be used with Devices that have a AMPS hole pattern on the back. (A square like hole pattern) The Device Mounting Adapter accommodates the AMPS hole pattern in both landscape and portrait. It can be drilled into solid, flat surfaces, such as walls, tables, and workbenches. The mount is compatible with devices having a 4-Hole AMPS pattern, including cameras, GPS devices, or satellite radios. The AMPS pattern consists of four holes located in a rectangular pattern spaced at 30.17mm x 38.05mm (measured as the center-to-center distance between holes). This tough mounting pedestal is also ideal for mobile radio holders, housings, and other devices used by public safety, construction, and utility applications. This package includes only the Heavy-Duty 4-Hole AMPS Mounting Pedestal with 4-Hole AMPS Head (like Garmin Garmin Ruggged Mount, inReach)x . This tough, low- vibration pedestal measures 6.5 inches high and is made of a combination of plastic and glass fiber. It features an AMPS drill mount base as well as an AMPS head. The arm of the pedestal swivels on both the top and the bottom, providing 360-degree rotation and the ultimate flexibility in positioning the device at any angle. Very useful for attaching my switch panel. Attached to the bottom of my Ram Mount. Bounces a little bit while driving but works well. Great option if you have no dash space to mount your switch panel or cell phone.

I got this for my truck that is a 1987 GMC S15 because I thought it would be a really easy install and it's going to allow me on extra space that's not on my Dash that already has a bunch of stuff on it. I'm pretty huge into VHF UHF radio and also CB radio and I like having a radar in the truck so I kind of need a little bit of extra space and this is going to allow me to do just that. I'm going to keep my VHF UHF transceiver mounted to this guy while I have my CB mounted up on the dash and this is perfect. You literally just have to undo one bolt loosen it up scooch this guy underneath the seat and crank it down and it's ready to rock and roll. The springy arm is also very very stiff and stays put exactly where I want it and might even be able to hold up a small laptop possibly which I think is cool also. The top is a ball head swivel so you can kind of swivel it around and angle your radio exactly the place where you want it. It also comes with a more permanent amount that you can screw directly into your floorboard if you don't want to go the seat route but I opted for the more temporary-ish/removable option that way in case I change my mind down the road because I'm always constantly moving stuff around in my truck to get it to where I kind of want it. Overall I think if you're in the same boat as I am and you want a little bit of extra room on your dash and you got quite a few Gadgets in the car I think this is a no-brainer. It's very affordable, made out of very durable material and stays put, and readily available for a pretty darn fast shipping. Overall highly recommend it ... show more

I am using this for the control head of my radio in my 2022 Ford F-150. It required a slight modification to anchor the base. It was secured to the sturdy plastic at the bottom of the passenger side seat. Due to the covers at the base of the seat, I was unable to put it under the carriage bolt of the passengers seat. The build quality was good. The flexible post is very sturdy and heavy duty. The last one I bought from an ebay vendor was so lite that it moved all over the place with a handheld and mike. It was almost unusable from the vibrations. Not so with this one. The main post attaches easily to the passenger seat. The top is well secured and has a ball mount so you can position it almost anywhere you would like. the best part is how heavy the main post is. I feel confident in putting something heaver then my TM-71 control head and mike. So far it is working very well. I am impressed. My car has 10 airbags so anywhere you are thinking of putting a radio mount would either be in the way or you could put a screw in one of them. Vent mounts are out of the question since you take a big risk in breaking very small plastic vent blades going over a bump. What I like about this is that it is easy to mount to the passenger side seat rail. It is out of the way of all of the air bags since if then deploy, anything that is in the path that is not secured goes flying with a high velocity. Overall this is an absolutely great mount if you want a good sturdy mount that does not leave unsightly holes when you remove it to see your car. ... show more
