After 6 years of struggling shoveling snow at my house. I finally decided to purchase a snowblower. After doing my research I was recommended to get a two stage snowblower. This particular snowblower was very easy to put together. The instructions are very clear only required 20 minutes to put the required bolts on. After using it the for first time I can say job was well done. Had about 10 in of snow and this thing cleared the driveway very easily. The machine is heavy and I can understand why because it helps with clearing the snow. I highly recommend this snowblower hopefully can last a lifetime. I purchased this 2 stage snow blower after we had over 30 inches of snow in mid March of 2021. I had a single unit stage that struggled to remove the snow, it was designed to handle snow up to 12 inches, The Champion 2 stage front opening is designed to handle up to 21 inches of snow. Finally in January of 2022, I was able to use it on 9 inches of snow fall. It worked really well. it would throw the snow at least 30 feet. It did not bog down, Since this is my first 2 stage snow blower it took time getting use to it. This thing weighs about 180 lbs. i compare weight on similar 2 stage units and they all weighed 170 to about 210 pounds. Having 6 forward speeds and 2 reverse helps a lot. This is a very sturdy machine that is quite powerful. The heated hand grips and the power turn steering work great. There is one issue that other snow throwers also have. Snow or water can get into the drive train area and cause the friction wheel to slip and the machine won't drive forward or backwards until the water/moisture dissipates. There are several ways snow/water can get behind the black plastic cover just ahead of the engine. I plan to make additions to the cover to reduce or eliminate the problem. My previous machine had the controls on the handles on the opposite sides. I decided to switch them, which was quite easy to do. ... show more

This unit starts easily and clears snow with no problems. I have a champion generator that has worked flawlessly for years so I expect the same for this snow blower. Highly recommend.

    • The Thing only ran for 3-4 minutes then quit working

I was disappointed that after I put it together, I fired it up. I let it idle for a few minutes, then it quit running. I tried to fire it up again, the electric starter worked fine, the engine just wouldn't start. I did get a live person on the other on of the service center hot line, I was referred to a repair shop over 20 miles away for warranty work to be done. Now it is wait to see, and how long in the repair shop. Also When it was shipped right after purchased, it took two weeks for delivery to my home, however, it only took 2 days to get it from where it was shipped from to a depot about 40 miles from my house and 12 days from the depot to my home. what the hell is that all about. ... show more

Works. I should have spent more for a steerable unit.This is a bear to wrestle into a turn. One of the handle attachment bolts sheared off during assembly due to poor fit. Overpriced considering lack of features.
