  • Great value for protection
Size: 5pc Fusion Set
I've had several brands of soft cases in my day and these by far exceeded my expectations. Great padding, nice leather feel, and shoulder straps for all the cases. Highly recommend for anyone looking for protection on a budget.

  • Good drum bag, runs large, minor shipping damage
Size: 14"*5.5" Snare
I've always used a hard shell case for my snares, so was a bit skeptical about this. I actually ordered it for my old 14" Glen Velez frame drum and it's probably overkill for that. It does run large - I'm guessing the "14 inch snare" in the description refers to head size with extra room for the lugs and strainer, but this measures 17"-18" inside diameter. Yes, it is out of round, and I suspect that's from compression during shipping - more on that in a minute. I like the long rubber feet - they seem to hold the bag stable in the upright position even when empty. The seams all look sturdy - no loose threads and decent stitching all around. The top and bottom edges have a vinyl roll over the seams which should make them last longer. The shoulder strap uses metal connectors instead of cheap plastic, and there's a decent amount of padding on all sides, however it is not distributed evenly which again I think is due to the shipping method. I did test the ''waterproof' feature by pouring a little water on it and leaving it for a minute - it did bead up and did not penetrate the outer material, though it was hard to dry off because it tended to stay in the fine pebble grain of the material. I can't really speak to durability yet. The main problems I have with this come from the way it was shipped - it was folded tightly in half across the diameter then tightly rolled to fit in a small box, which resulted in creases to the PU leather and the inside fabric, and left deformities in the vinyl edges on the top and bottom rims. It also left thin spots in the padding where it was creased, and in one spot the zipper seam is slightly off from being folded. I thought it might naturally go back into shape with time, but it didn't after leaving it zipped for a week. I was able to reshape the vinyl edges by hand since they cover some fairly heavy wire so that it's almost back to round on the top and bottom, but the wrinkled fabric and bunched up padding inside appear to be permanent, as does the rolling of the zipper edge. I realize that it is shipped this way to decrease size which decreases cost on its long sea voyage in a cargo container from China, but it's a shame it damages what would otherwise be a very nice bag. It's still very functional, just not as nice looking, plus the slight gaps in the padding at the creases may make it a bit less protective. This was hard to rate for me - I'd like to give it 3.5 stars. It seems well made and functional but the shipping damage deserves at least 1 star off, and while I'd still recommend a hard case for an expensive snare, this is fine for gigging with a typical set. I plan on carrying the frame drum, a riq and a kanjira in it once I get some black 1/2" foam padding to separate the drums and keep them from moving around. And if you have cats keep an eye on them - they love using this as a bed ;-) Hope this and the photos help someone! ... show more

  • Roomy, Soft, Well Constructed, Concerned About Clips & PU Faux Leather Deteriorating
Size: 14"*5.5" Snare
As a regular gigging drummer/percussionist for decades, I've owned many different drum cases. Soft canvas, hard & heavy cases, even pillow cases in a pinch. This 14" x 5.5" snare case looks & feels good, seems very well made, and is roomy enough to fit not only my 14x5.5 snare but also my 14x7 snare (not at the same time, of course; that would be weird). The handle feels well balanced and durable. I have 2 concerns with this case. First concern is the PU faux leather the case is covered with. That stuff usually wears out fairly quickly & flakes off, especially with harsh temperatures and frequent use. The other concern is with the strap connections. It's hard to imagine those metal clips lasting long without getting bent out of shape. I hope both those things last longer than I expect them to. My fellow drummers know all about how lugging all your equipment around, loading & unloading, etc. puts a lot of wear & tear and banging around even when you're trying to be careful. You also gotta watch out for those rogue (& sometimes drunk) roadies who think they know what they're doing. My point is, these cases should be able to withstand all that even in their weakest areas. I'm sure I'll know a lot more later if it survives my NYE gig. ... show more

  • Decent Soft Shell Carry Case
Size: 14"*5.5" Snare
This is a pretty good case. the padding is nice and the stitching seems strong. PU leather outer shell is soft but seems sturdy. This being said the $45 price point is a bit steep since this is not a hard shell case. I sincerely hope that you would find my review helpful.

  • Waterproof and padded snare bag
Size: 14"*5.5" Snare
The media could not be loaded. I gig 3-4 times a week, so I put my snare bags through the ringer. I don't like using a hard case unless I'm flying, or have cartage service. The issue with many of the soft bags I've used, is that the straps fall apart, plus they aren't waterproof, so rain and snow can damage them. This bag has a sleek design, is nicely padded, and the outside is water resistant. I tried a few snares in this, and they fit well. the zippers and straps feel ok, and have held up for a month so far. ... show more

  • Good case
Size: 14"*5.5" Snare
Nice snare case with strap. It fits a 14 inch snare nicely. Padding is adequate should protect snare during a fall but not like a hard case. Zipper is good and seals tight. Doesn’t add a lot of weight to the snare when carrying it.
