I have had this machine for four years now . It is a wonderful machine we use it regularly since we process turmeric and other spices for sale at our local market, we have also used it for making flours chick peas, rice , plantain , even for cacao beans . It’s very powerful, To clean you need a brush for the inside and towels but is easy enough . It comes with replacement for carbons and blades . We still haven’t any need to change blades , but the carbons after 4 years with intense use like I said , my husband does that pretty easy ( not the mechanical type ) 🙂 I highly recommend it for its power a durability. ... show more

I like to grind my own chili powder, this does a wonderful job when used correctly. I was doing ancho chilies and I didn't prepared them correctly and the machine stop and wouldn't go again, being frustrated I left it on the counter till the next day, when a friend came over offered to look at it first thing he did was push the rest switch and whal-la it worked. I purchased this product in 2016 and it's still running with the same power. I use it regularly to grind my Indian spices (masala). I have had no issues with the motor and the jar assembly. lots of power....carbon dust and lots of hot wire smell during first few uses but maybe that is just break-in as it seems to have mellowed out now.

    • Stops working way too much
I've used this 3 times, and it's already stopped working. This is too much of a hassle for a simple appliance. Look for something else. This is not an easy to use machine, and the directions can be technical and you'll need to have a handy person around to help with this thing doesn't work.
