I’ve had psoriasis for 25 years and have tried it all.. the CerVe psoriasis moisturizing cream is actually pretty decent! I have small spots all over my body so the steroid cream from the dermatologist can be exhausting to put on. I use This right when I get out of the shower and while it’s thick after application it doesn’t feel sticky or like it’ll peel off in clumps if you keep rubbing it in. I’ve only used it a few times but I’ve noticed less redness after about half an hour after application and less scaling. It seems to moisturize and help with itching and irritation. It doesn’t have a smell and honestly I’d definitely buy again and recommend to anyone with sensitive or scaly dry skin! I also Love the packaging. The bottle is small but really a little goes a long way so it has lasted! ... show more

I have severe psoriasis & extremely sensitive skin—to the point where products labeled “for sensitive skin” irritate my skin! I just started getting psoriasis on my face & nobody wants psoriasis + a rash on their face! The cream is very thick so you have to apply it in front of a mirror to make sure you (gently) rub it all the way in. I have only needed to follow up the lotion once with facial oil; all the other times, the lotion alone has been sufficient.     • CeraVe Cream for Psoriasis: good for controlling flare ups + swelling, doesn't promote healing well
Goes on as a thin layer that wicks into the skin quickly. Not much odor and doesn't smell like chemicals much. Its pretty solid on controlling redness and swelling from psoriasis or skin irritation from hand sanitizer. Hardly does anything for healing though. I've had better luck with MG217 for getting my skin to heal. The skin will still flake like mad after putting this stuff on! It does start working fairly fast but takes at least a day of application to reach peak effectiveness. For an over the counter cream its not bad at all. Its no miracle worker though. Hydrocortisone is a miracle worker. The downside for hydrocortisone is that it eventually thins out your skin so you can't use it for more than a few days at time. This stuff on the other hand seems to have no major side effects which is nice. I reapply it each time I wash my hands or use sanitizer. Very critical to apply it after using sanitizer due to the skin irritation that stuff causes! ... show more

    • This stuff works at controlling itch and reducing scales. Don't use the pump though.
I get a lot of patches on my legs and arms. For medicine, I only use a topical, haven't tried pills yet. In between applications of the topical medicine, I use this and it works very well at controlling the itchiness and also helps to remove the scales so that the medicine has a chance to actually get in your skin. Plus, I use exfoliating gloves in the shower to help remove scales. The cream loosens them up, and the gloves help remove them. SUGGESTION: Don't use the pump that comes with it. This stuff is expensive and when the tub itself is empty, there is still quite a bit left in the pump that simply gets wasted. Instead, I unscrew the pump when I get a new tub and cover the opening with plastic and a rubber band so the cream doesn't dry out. ... show more

I have psoriasis in the back of ny ears and thought this would help but it does very little. It is super moisturizing, I give it that, but for psoriasis it doesn’t do much else, it only prevents the skin from looking dry or flakey. I am gonna stick to my steroid creams, but this works as a very light moisturizer only. ... show more

I love this lotion. Very moisturizing and soothing. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is because when it’s low in the bottle the pump doesn’t work fully and you have to screw the top off to get to the bottom.
