  • Clean
I like how it lathers well and rinses easily leaving my skin feeling fresh and soft. I've noticed improvement to my skin complexion and reduce breakouts on my back and shoulders while using this product on a daily basis for over a week. I agree on some other reviews stating the bottle design inefficient when nearing the end of the supply, it's a hassle and manufacturer needs to study it carefully for better quality of life usage. Additionally, it's fragrance free, but it certainly has a distinct soap or chemical smell to it; however, it's only noticeable if you're significantly sensitive to this type of smell. Overall, I've become a fan of this product and have quickly added it to my daily regimen. ... show more

  • Good for sensitive skin. Has a weak lid.
After using it for a couple of days, there was a noticeable difference on how my skin felt compared to other soaps/body washes that I've used before. It feels much less dry and irritated after using it, definitely reccomend for anyone that has sensitive skin. It's not very strongly scented though, if that's something that people are looking for. No issues with the packaging for me; doesn't feel very hard to get the product out. The hinges on its lid can be pretty weak, however, so be gentle when opening and closing and avoid dropping it. ... show more

  • Effectively Moisturizing
I am usually very happy with the CeraVe product line and this body wash is no exception. Rich and creamy formula provides lots of lather and coverage with a very small amount if used with a scrubby. The bottle appears on the smallish side but again, a little goes a long way as long as it’s used with sponge or scrubby. It does not have fragrance which I prefer though there is an initial scent from the ingredients themselves but quickly dissipates without lingering. My skin feels smooth, soft and clean with no discernable tightness nor greasiness. Also I would say that after drying off I feel like it’s optional to your preference whether or not to add additional moisturiser to skin. Hope this was helpful. ... show more

  • Hard water or dry environment? Give this a chance.
Wildfire smoke, showering using hard water, indoor heaters/air conditioners, low humidity/dry environment, and the other things we usually don't think about completely destroyed my skin. Itchy inflamed rashes, skin so dry it would flake off the minute anyone looked at me, developing a case of KP, etc. You name it, I have it after a lifetime of healthy skin. I was determined to find products that would restore my once active and healthy lifestyle. Tried everything: lukewarm showers, installed a filter on my showerhead and religiously change it every two months, sulfate free body washes, expensive boutique soaps, high end cosmetic lines, organic hair care and body washes, and every "miracle cream" from brands I never heard of before. Nothing worked. In fact, I'm starting to suspect the high concentration of essential oils in these products exacerbated the problems. All of this testing cost a small fortune; sometimes looking at my order history here depresses me regarding all the money I spent to find anything to have just one day where I wasn't ready to take a piece of sandpaper and rub it all over to get my skin off. If there's one silver lining, I'm probably personally financially responsible for putting the kids of employees at anti-histimine manufacturers through college. It was that bad. After some more research into various skin conditions and the ingredients to alleviate them, CereVe products were constantly recommended by dermatologists because of the inclusion of ceramides in their formulations. Remaining skeptical this could be because the manufacturer significantly spends marketing to dermatologists, for a quarter amount I spent on the last "all natural miracle sulfate free eczema wash infused with holistic oils that will leave me smelling like a tropical beach," I decided to give this body wash the same fair trial I gave all the others. A fair trial is using the product as intended for at least two weeks. Soaps or washes typically are left on the skin for at most a full minute before rinsed off. This isn't enough time interacting with the product to derive any benefit from its ingredients. Instead, I do something akin to a navy shower where I get wet, turn the water off, soap up using a fresh and clean washcloth each time, leave the product on for a few minutes, then rinse off. If at any point I feel itchy, the product is rinsed off and the offending bottle chucked in the garbage because I don't want to accidentally reach for something that's going to make the situation worse. CeraVe Hydrating Body Wash doesn't really foam. It's a cream formulation without any discernible fragrance or scent. It barely smells like anything, and resembles a milky white film on the skin. The only immediate difference to my itchy skin was that it wasn't more itchy or red. After about a week of using the body wash, the inflammation was significantly reduced and the dry patches were smaller. After two weeks, many of these dry patches disappeared and the itching subsided to the point where I forgot to take anti-histimines for two days. The KP didn't disappear from my arms, but they looked way less red and less noticeable than before, enough to prompt me to purchase the CeraVe body lotion with ceramides and sacylic acid to test for its effectiveness on that area. I don't think this is a miracle body wash, but it's definitely something that doesn't make a skin condition worse. It's incredibly moisturizing to the point where if I forgot to apply body lotion, I don't pay dearly with adverse skin reactions or increased itching. It feels like it's allowing my skin to heal from all the trauma I put it through, and it's definitely on my repurchase list. And foamy bubbles or smelling like passion fruit isn't the criteria for a body wash for me anymore. ... show more

  • Love Cerave products!
Cerave was recommended to me by my dermatologist several years ago and I have used their products ever since. Love that it is unscented for my fragrance sensitivities. I use their facial cleanser, body cleanser, and moisturizers. Great products though a little on the pricey side.

  • Hard to Squeeze Out
Product is okay. Seems to have helped my dry skin. Issue: need to be a body builder to squeeze the product out of the container. First few showers okay but after that, OMG, need every ounce of my strength to get product. Truthfully, I am in my 70s so if you a young stud with plenty of muscles, you won't have a problem. ... show more

  • great for sensative skin
My shoulders and back were itching and blotchy , and got worse over time with my previous body wash. This has stopped since switching to Cerave body wash for dry skin. It is moisturizing in a very pleasant way. It is not slimy or greasey.

  • Love but container is difficult
I really do like this body wash. It makes areas of crepey skin firmer. The issue I have is the bottle is getting more and more difficult to squeeze product out of it. The plastic is very firm and not giving at all. And it isn't like I can shake the product out of the bottle since it is so thick. CeraVe, could you please make the plastic a bit more pliable for us older folks whose hands aren't as strong as they used to be and have bits of arthritis going on? Thank you. ... show more
