  • Clean
I like how it lathers well and rinses easily leaving my skin feeling fresh and soft. I've noticed improvement to my skin complexion and reduce breakouts on my back and shoulders while using this product on a daily basis for over a week. I agree on some other reviews stating the bottle design inefficient when nearing the end of the supply, it's a hassle and manufacturer needs to study it carefully for better quality of life usage. Additionally, it's fragrance free, but it certainly has a distinct soap or chemical smell to it; however, it's only noticeable if you're significantly sensitive to this type of smell. Overall, I've become a fan of this product and have quickly added it to my daily regimen. ... show more

  • Not irritating
First of all, it’s Cerave. Truly I wouldn’t need to say more. My skin is sensitive enough that I struggle to find anything that my body likes. I first tried this product about a year ago. I tried a few of their other body washes, but this one is my favorite. It’s smooth, no smell and washes away easily. My only complaint is the way it’s dispensed. The top and lid are awkward and it starts getting clogged up right away. So far I haven’t found a way to fix this. ... show more

  • great wash, terrible packaging, try the bar instead
I quickly learned that this is wash is not about working up a good lather, and a good lather isn't necessary for good cleaning. I can put a dollop the size of a quarter in my hand, rub my hands together, and spread it over the entire moderately hairy top front of my body, which thins it out and makes it easier to wash off. It's great for softening my beard stubble before shaving. It's very smooth, slippery stuff, which some people may not like, and it takes more effort to rinse off, but it works for me. But the bottle is really bad. The wash is so thick that it's not easy to get it out of the bottle, especially as there becomes less and less left - from the beginning I have to store the bottle upside down in the shower, and even then it doesn't come out readily. Eventually it gets to the point where I have to shake it hard to get anything out. The plastic is so hard that it doesn't expand outward after you squeeze it, so before I put it back on the shower shelf, I get more air into the bottle by opening the spout and squeezing the very inflexible plastic and then closing the spout - that kind of fills the bottle out somewhat to make it a little easier to squeeze. And eventually you can't get anything out at all even though you can tell there's quite a bit left, like 1/3 or 1/4. Then I have to twist off the cap, add water and shake - which of course makes it more liquid so more comes out than you might want, though it still works to wash yourself. Seems like a huge amount of work to get the stuff out of there - it's like whoever designed this bottle didn't try to actually use it. The obvious thing to do would make it a pump - though that wouldn't get it all out either, it's just too thick, you'd still end up having to take off the cap and add water. Look how much I was able to write just about a plastic bottle! That shows how ridiculous it is - CeraVe should get a clue from all these comments saying the same thing. The best option is the bar - the same stuff, far easier to use, you can use it all - though it's much slipperier than the usual bar of soap so you'd better have enough room in your shower to bend down to pick it up off the floor. We have both bottle and bar in the shower, and you develop a system of what method to use where and how to get the stuff out of the bottle and how to not drop the bar and so on - it's like the rocket science of washing yourself, and I wouldn't bother if I didn't like the results so well. ... show more

  • Awesome for sensitive skin and those going through menopause
Ladies, and gentlemen, the ladies need pampering when they are in their 40s and beyond. We get dry and itchy. Our estrogen levels plummet and we get itchy and angry and grumpy. We need nice things, including this awesome body wash by CeraVe. It's "soap free" meaning it doesn't have caustic ingredients that remove moisture. It still suds up, but it also leaves behind a moisturizer on the skin that has ingredients we need after our bodies start producing less. My husband got me this and I felt very seen by him. He heard my frustrations and got me something to help. Maybe my menopause monster will not be mad at him this week. ... show more

  • Excellent body soap for dry skin
If your allergic to everything, have dry skin this is your soap. It moisturizes my skin if I get lazy and don't apply lotion. It makes me feel good while showering where other soaps can burn . It doesn't feel heavy weighing you down either and it rinses off not leaving a residue behind. A quality body wash well worth the price. ... show more

  • Poor packaging
The product itself is excellent. It foams well, leaves no greasy residue BUT it is so incredibly thick it’s difficult to get it out of the squeeze type bottle. Even turning the bottle upside down does help move the product to the tiny hole to help it exit the bottle. It’s a great ( also expensive) product I won’t purchase again because of this issue there’s at least 1/4th left in bottle that won’t come out I won’t waste money on it again sad bc the product is excellent ... show more

  • great for sensative skin
My shoulders and back were itching and blotchy , and got worse over time with my previous body wash. This has stopped since switching to Cerave body wash for dry skin. It is moisturizing in a very pleasant way. It is not slimy or greasey.

  • Feels really great on the skin
The product itself doesn’t have any smell and it doesn’t create any sort of foam, but it seems to be working really well big fan of the brand
