    • This is a great cell booster, but it is not plug and play. Expect to use tech support.
I purchased this booster to replace an old Wilson booster that bought the farm. This is much more sophisticated than the old booster and also amplifies MUCH more. As soon as I downloaded the app for my phone, I got a text from Ian in tech support asking how things were going. At that point I was maximizing the cell signal. It seemed pretty easy. What I was missing though is that signal quality is more important for me than strength. I gave Ian the SN for the booster and he remotely took a look at the status. He fairly insisted on giving me a call to improve how the booster was set up. We turned off all 3g bands so it would only connect to 4g as I use the booster primarily for internet for an LTE modem. By watching the signal quality and comparing that to ping times, I realized that quality, not strength was trashing my internet. I texted Ian to give me a call and shortly we were discussing ways to improve the quality of my signal. By reorienting the antenna, we solved all of my problems. Not only is my internet working, but the cell signal strength at my LTE modem went from -107dBm to -72 dBm. A remarkable improvement and far superior to anything the Wilson booster ever did. We now have 4 to 5 bars of cell signal throughout the house (before it was 1 to 0) and good internet.     • Absolutely amazing
I used to get one bar of basic cell service inside my house, occasionally. Sometimes I couldn't even send a text. I almost never could have a successful phone conversation without dropping the call several times. We have lived out here in the sticks like that for years. Every time I would complain to my wife about how bad our cell service was she would tell me it was just my phone. A few weeks ago I was having so much trouble trying to hold a conversation on my phone that I grabbed her phone and tried to use it. Low and behold, I had the same troubles with her phone and that sparked my research into the best cell booster for rural areas. My research ultimately led me to the CEL-FI Go X and Waveform. I ended up buying the two indoor antenna kit. It took me a few hours to install. I didn't opt for the parabolic antenna and I ended up mounting my outdoor antenna on the same pole that my wireless broadband antenna is mounted on. I used 90 feet of cable to connect the outdoor antenna to the transceiver. I used both of the omni-directional indoor antennas that were supplied in the kit and put away the two unidirectional wall mount indoor antennas, in case I ever decide to use them. I put the transceiver and the two omni-directional antennas in the attic. Since the two indoor antenna kit only comes with 90 feet of coaxial cable and as I already stated, I used 90 feet of cable to connect the outdoor antenna, I obviously had to buy additional cable. My indoor antennas are approximately 35 feet apart and they're just sitting on top of the ceiling drywall in the attic. Inside the house I now get a SOLID 4 bars of 4G LTE cell service and I occasionally see 5G. The data package I have with my wireless broadband ISP is claimed to be a 25 Mbps download, supposedly all the time. After I completed the CEL-FI Go X installation I tested the wireless broadband speed, just so I'd have a basis of comparison, and I got just over 12 Mbps download speed. I then turned off the WIFI on my phone and conducted a data speed test over the cell network. The download speed I got from that test was over 58 Mbps. I've never had data speeds like that and I have to say it is very nice to be able to stream HD video without a buffer at all. I did contact Waveform's customer service, but not for assistance with the installation. It was for another matter and I must say their communication was outstanding. If you're researching cell booster's and you have at least one bar of service outside, you can't go wrong with this CEL-FI Go X cell booster. I have an over 3500 square foot, ranch style, home and a single omni-directional antenna in the center of the attic, allowed me to have service throughout my entire home, but at the outer edges of the house my signal would drop to 2 bars, so it definitely made sense for me to use the dual antenna setup. I whole heartedly recommend purchasing this product from Waveform. I definitely could have chosen better conditions for my installation since it was over 100 degrees. If you're comfortable with this type of work, you'll easily be able to accomplish an installation that you'll be very happy with. If you lack that comfort and confidence hire a pro to install it for you. You will be very happy with the results as long as you have at least one bar outside. ... show more

    • This is a great system that works backed by people that care about their customer
I looked at several systems before purchasing this one. I had purchased a WEBOOST however it was not able to pick up and amplify the AT&T mobile signal. I looked again and saw this unit. The reviews were good and from all I saw it would do what I needed. What struck me is that it will/can go out miles to pick up a signal and living in the hills surrounded by a forest I needed a system that could pull in a weak signal and boost it up. When the unit arrives what I noticed is how well it was packaged – everything was in its own box or sealed bag. The cables were huge – at least twice the size of coaxial cable in my house. The directions were very good and the system was easy to put together. The software made it very easy to find the cell tower that would give me the best signal and switching between carriers is/was a breeze. I had a question and texted the company and heard back in less than 5 minutes. My technician also had a question, and he was texted back as quickly as well This system is not cheap – but it is worth every penny I paid for it. Customer service is great. I have been texted back twice to make sure my system is working as it should, along with “reach out to us anytime if you have a question or comment”. The thing I like about this company is that they mean what they say and have shown that they stand behind their equipment. I highly recommend this product. Do not waste your money on the cheaper units! I tried and they do not help! This product is incredible and worth every penny I paid for it! On top of that the tech support is UNBELIEVABLE! Moe reached out to me via text shortly after I received my unit to see if I had questions. I waited for a nice weather day a week or so later to install and ended up with a few questions. Moe responded immediately and I was up and running. We used to only get one bar inside our house and would drop calls constantly. We now have full signal in every room! The only negative I can think of is I waited too long to purchase this unit! (One recommendation, if you have a multi floor home I would strongly consider buying the kit with the second interior antenna. It made a big difference in the finished basement portion of our home.) ... show more
