As the titled mentioned, I have a love hate relationship with this foundation. I bought it because I heard many positive reviews on YouTube and TikTok. The product says it is hydrating yet I have noticed in my opinion it has more of a matte like feel. For me it clings to dry patches of the skin and emphasizes my pores. For reference I have acne prone oily textured skin, however I have been using treatments for my breakouts and have some dry patches. When I first used this foundation with the Milk Hydro Grip Primer and it was awful and transferred off my face. Then I tried this with a silicone primer and it lasted longer but still transferred and didn't look good; lastly I tested it with more of a moisturizing primer and that seemed to make it last the longest. I will say with the right primer it does look very nice on the skin and lasts for a long time, however if you have oily skin this may not last as long. ... show more

Great price. Good coverage. Would not recommend for mature dry skin. It goes on very powdery and settles into wrinkles and has a drying drawing affect. At least for me.     • Wanted to Love It, But It Just Didn’t Work for Me

I had high hopes for the Catrice True Skin Foundation, especially since I love the Catrice HD foundation and was looking for something a bit more skin-like and moisturizing. Unfortunately, this just didn’t live up to my expectations. I’ve given this foundation multiple chances because I really wanted to make it work. I tried it with different primers, without primer, over exfoliated skin, with and without moisturizer—you name it, I’ve tried it. No matter the method, the result was the same: patchy and unflattering. My skin is generally normal but tends to lean a bit dry in the winter, and this foundation clung to every dry spot, especially around my nose. It also settled into fine lines, making me look older than I am (I’m 37). On some days, it looked decent upon application, and I’d get my hopes up, thinking I finally cracked the code. But shortly after, it would break down and look patchy and uneven. I was hoping for a natural, skin-like finish with a touch of hydration, but it emphasized texture instead. If you have oily skin or maybe very smooth, perfectly prepped skin, this might work better for you. Sadly, it just didn’t suit my skin type or needs. I still love other products from Catrice, but this one was a miss for me. I’d recommend the Catrice HD foundation over this if you’re looking for something that looks more natural and doesn’t settle into fine lines. I have sensitive acne prone combination skin and this foundation does not break me out. This foundation is not hydrating at all. It does tend to cling to dry patches and dries cakey. It also makes my pores and texture look huge. The coverage is full. It does cake up around my t-zone so I do have to touch up after a few hours. I have tried multiple different types of applications: sponge, brush, etc and it did not help the cakiness. The color match was a little light for me as an olive skin tone person.
