The cable itself seems quality and handled the throughput of a gigabit internet connection no problem, but one of the connectors physically failed after less than a day of "use." The cable was taken straight from the package and installed in a cable run between two switches where it was safely fixed in place and not being jostled around. No strain was being put on either end aside from the minor weight of the cable itself hanging from the back of each switch. I arrived home to today to a dead network in the room it was run to. Pulling upwards gently on the bad connector causes the connection to start working again but that stops as soon as it's let go. A cable tester indicates one of the six wire connections is bad, likely a bad crimp. ... show more

I'm a gamer and was always used to playing plugged in with top speeds and low ping. I recently moved to NC and my apartment had the connection in my bedroom instead of my office. I tried playing on WIFI but at 400mbps it just wasn't cutting it for me and I wasn't about to pay for the gig. Where theres a will there's a way and I wondered if there was a cable long enough to reach from my bedroom through the bathroom and into the office and to my surprise, there IS! This cable is very high quality and using some stick on clips I was able to get it laying nicely against the molding so it blends in nicely and doesn't look like a hackjob. When I plugged in an ran a speed test I was getting 483mbps even though I only pay for 400 and my WIFI speeds were coming in at 300 max. I bought this to hook my Apple TV4k directly to my router across the room. The fact that it’s flat makes it easier to hide. I don’t have the capabilities to test it to see if you can get the speeds that it claims but, I do have gig speed service and when plugged in, I’m getting the speeds I expected. It’s Comcast so the upload speed stinks which is a Comcast thing. No problems streaming ANYTHING! even 4K HDR. ... show more

I got this cable because I am a nerd and wanted top of the line hardware in every regard. Now testing this vs my old cat6 cable it hasn't increased speeds by alot. But that being said it certainly is futureproof. Also the cable is pretty high quality, I rigged mine up with some nice wall clips it's almost not visible. Would I recommend this to anyone? Not really, you'd probably be fine with a cat6, but if you want higher specs just cuz like me.. shuck yea dawg! ... show more

This cable surprised me indeed. Not only was the build quality very high but also flexible and durable. Withstood an emergency LAN party with PCs and XB1s all hooked to this 25ft cable running to a router via another CAT8 connection to the 1GB speeds modem. Split among 3 different systems this cable was giving us 510Mbs single use and under load all 3 systems, it was reading in the 120sMbs. Keep in mind your ISP is depended on area speeds. That aside I highly recommend this cable to any on the go gamer or techy who needs to plug in. The cable ropes up nicely back into its coiled form and comes with a velcro snap for secure neatness. Gold plated RJ45 ends with excellent snaps both for console and PC ethernet ports. This cable is everything I wanted. I read some of the reviews where the speed was not good, however, my experience is completely satisfactory. I saw a good increase in the speed as advertised (went from an Cat6) my speeds are amazing and more. I was looking for a cable that would be discreet or look cool even and I have to say that this is exactly that. As you can see in t he pictures you can barely see it, and when you can it looks good, the material does not feel cheap, instead it has a good rubbery feel and look to it. Love it ! ... show more
