Mandalas are drawn in a simple, accessible style that is great for beginners, while there is still enough detail to delight even advanced colorists—carefully and thoughtfully designed for a truly enjoyable and hilarious coloring experience. Our favorite media to use is colored pencils. If you use markers, we recommend placing a sheet of scrap paper behind the page as you color, to prevent bleed-through to the underlying page. I have 3 other cat coloring books by this author, and was excited to see another volume. This one blows my mind in a good way! The concept of putting cats into mandala designs is so fun, and the way she puts these together in so many surprising cute ways - is really outstanding. I will continue to upload images of the inside of this book, because you really need to see more of the images to begin to appreciate the creativity and charm of this volume. The author/artist has such an amazing sense of humor, you see it in all her other coloring books as well. (See my other reviews for "Cats and Flowers" and "Cats Around the World" by Eva Carriere). But there is just something very unique about this particular book! There are cute pictures and laughs all over the place, and the style is SOOOOOO cute! Plus, it's very relaxing. Also, there are dozens of VERY unique kitties throughout the book, lots of little "kitty characters" that are adorable. This book is going to give me months of fun! ALSO - I was able to buy Cats and Flowers Volume 2, which just came out. See my review there too. That one is just plain beautiful. Fun book to add to you coloring book collection if you love cats. Cute pictures. The only draw back for me (personal opinion) was some of the pictures had light line art. But still colorable.

    • Warning! gel pens will bleed through
Creative, unique, whimsical designs! I wish the paper was thicker. I can see the design on the next page through the paper, and my standard gel pens I use to color bleed through so much that I cannot color images on the other side of the page. If you use colored pencils or crayons this book may work for you. ... show more

This book is so playful! The cats seem to have a sense of humor. Coloring these mandalas transport you to a fantastical feline world full of cakes, flowers, butterflies, and ribbons!

    • Totally cute drawings - really poor paper quality
This would be a 5 star coloring book if the paper was better than really cheap copier paper. I would love to copy onto better paper but I think that is likely copyright infringement, so I am just out of luck. I would not purchase again unless paper quality was seriously upgraded!
