  • A Very Sophisticated Piece
Style: WK7600 Stand-Alone Keyboard Set: Keyboard & Power Supply
This work station is an extremely powerful piece of equipment. It arrives with raw sound samples that have to be fine tuned with things such as reverb, attack, and release. While the final product come close to broadcast quality, it's a long road of study to get there. It has the capability of vocal recordings which can also be mixed. In short the Japanese make the best electronics that are sometime unnecessarily complicated, and somewhat counter intuitive. Never theless, 5 stars. ... show more

  • Great buy for practicing teens
Style: WK6600 Stand-Alone Keyboard Set: Keyboard & Power Supply
This is great for my 14 y/o. He plays recreationally and for church. Its not the cheap plastic kind of keyboard but it feels more professional and sturdy. He is thrilled with it. So far he likes to make his own tracks (which you can layer multiple instruments with) He says it doesn't have a lot of memory so get an SD card for it. It was costly but not too expensive. I feel I got my money's worth and it doesn't appear to be easy to break. ... show more

  • Not as weighted as could be but excellent sound for a portable
Style: WK6600 Stand-Alone Keyboard Set: Keyboard & Power Supply
Sometimes I play farmers markets which don't have electric. This comes in handy for that- with good piano sounds and lots of clarity. It has built in speakers for home use, but outdoor gigs would require a battery powered amp as well . I am very pleased with it, although it's not fully weighted, at least it doesn't feel like I'm playing on chop sticks. I appreciate that it's lightweight and easy to carry. You can also pre record tracks with it which is nice for vocal practice and singing along. ... show more

  • Love this CASIO!
Style: WK7600 PPA Premium Pack Set: Premium Bundle
You can afford this! Spend some time to learn the features that you will use, and you'll be very happy with the results. The sound quality is very good! Once you start jamming along with the rhythms, you'll have lots of fun and won't be thinking about another keyboards. The key action is very good, and you can play expressively on these keys. I like these keys better than the ones on my PSR-SX. After playing on a 61-keys for a very long time, having 76 keys is very liberating. ... show more

  • Overall, good buy.
Style: WK7600 Stand-Alone Keyboard Set: Keyboard & Power Supply
Performance, learning, creating or designing music, this workstation keyboard will get the job done. Pros: loaded with features and functions. Reasonable authenticity in most of the tone sampling. They could work on. the electric guitar voices. It's a beautiful instrument that will look good in your home, studio, or on stage. The possibilities with user tones are endless. Casio excelled here. The tone and DSP parameters available for user adjustment are greater than any other keyboard at this price point. Cons: Even for those that know there way around keyboards like this, there's definitely a learning curve! Even with common functions, the procedures are a bit convoluted and complex. They could really create some tutorial videos. The integrated internal speakers are a bit lacking on the low end. The sound is clear and clean, but the bass is unimpressive. The low end frequency response can't be below 40Hz. I'll have to double check the specs to see if frequency response is listed. If you're performing, use the line out. Don't rely on the internal speakers. So, some things I would change. But I'm happy with the purchase. Again, it's a powerful and beautiful instrument capable of creating beautiful music. ... show more

  • From a Pro, Impressive.
Style: WK6600 Stand-Alone Keyboard Set: Keyboard & Power Supply
Casio has finally got into the game with this board, especially for the price. I own Roland, Moog, Peavey DPM488, and Korg. This is 1/3 the price with a huge Bang. This is NOT for the Faint Hearted by any means. And is not a beginner keyboard unless your willing to learn of course. The Manual is well versed, and is detailed, which in itself makes life a little easier. Hats off Casio on that one for sure. To my surprise, Casio use to be well known for fuzz on any high AMP output, you could here the hiss in the background ,NOT THIS ONE... that started off my Great venture with this keyboard. 2000 Watts and no Hiss ! Again Impressive. Fender AMPs, and One Peavey Sub-Amp Bass head, still no hiss. Onwards...Ignore the bad reviews, Are you Kidding me with that ? Most of the voices are outstanding, and can be re-written with either a Chorus and/or Reverb attached to it, and SAVED for your first choice. The DSP is wide, and universal, holy cow batman. Casio, you have re-vamped my thinking now with your keyboards, and the Price is beyond me.......This is a great deal, and has replaced one of my Moog Boards as a stand alone keyboard. Cons , like everything else there are a few, the display is not as sharp, but hey for 300 bucks, I could care less. One thing missing that would ROCK this board, a jack for a foot switch for changing the voices etc. Bottom Line, I love this for the price and again the manual is a Huge Help Casio. Well done. ... show more

  • Affordable workstation for the ocasional musician.
Style: WK6600 Stand-Alone Keyboard Set: Keyboard & Power Supply
My everyday job has nothing to do with music, yet, on my free time I like to play guitar and keyboard and develop my own musical ideas. Granted, You may achieve the same with a portable 6-8 track recorder and an instrument, or a usb interface and a laptop. There are even some apps for smartphones that may provide you with a similar experience, but having a mid-sized keyboard with stereo speakers, built-in sequencer and the capability to layer sounds in-situ is what appealed to me the most. Compared to the WK 1600 or simmilar this keyboard is less bulky and lighter, yet has nice sound to it. I also noticed that recent keyboards have now their keys made to resemble more like a real piano. I consider this good because on the "floating" keyboard type keys, a lot of dust tends to accumulate beneath them. This unit has a bank of nice sounds. I particularly liked the piano and sinth sounds that came with it. It lacks the modulation wheel but that's ok with me since I seldom use the pitch wheel only. It also has usb-midi connectivity, though I haven't tried that yet. Overall I am pleased with this keyboard because it marries the portablity and automatization of CASIO keyboards with some characteristics of higher-end keyboards that cost much, much more. Last, the manual could be better written but when I startign operating this keyboard and playing with its settings I never got lost. ... show more

I've bought 2 of them! Each are great products for the price! Highly recommended for someone who doesn't have thousands to spend on keyboards and synthesizers!
