  • Very Nice and Simple Watch with Heart Rate Monitor
Quality build. Screen is small, but very high resolution. Some of the stock photos above don't do it justice. Just got my pre-ordered item tonight and tried out the features. Was just looking for a basic workout watch that had HRM and O2 sensor. Always have my phone with me, so GPS isn't really needed in the watch anymore. I used the newer, general "CASIO WATCH" app on Android as they appear to be phasing out the older CASIO MOVE app, etc. It worked well for registering, setting up, and updating the firmware on the watch. I saw complaints about the app in the app store, but so far so good here. One thing to note, the default view shown in the stock photos, where the time is in the middle and the HR is in the top right is not the default face. It is face #2 in the app, and I really like that, so switched to it right away. If I'm wearing this watch, I want to know what my HRM is. I plan to wear it at night for sleep monitoring, and while working out during the day. Not sure if I'll use all of the other "fitness" features, but as a watch and a heart rate monitor, it appears to be doing very well. The HRM seems more accurate than the chest strap I wore previously. If you don't want to pay a monthly fee for competing wrist-based heart rate monitoring, and just want a simple way to monitor your fitness without subscriptions, CASIO seems to have nailed it here. I'll report back after I've spent more time with the watch in the event that anything changes. Mine came fully charged, although this is a new release, so was probably just manufactured not to long ago. It appears that with the current version of the Android app, there is no integration with Google Fit, Strava, or other apps. Nor is there any ability to export walks or runs as .gpx files for use in other applications. Further, the HRM can only be seen by the watch, and the Casio app, so you won't be able to use this watch as an HRM with other apps unless that changes. ... show more

  • Great sports watch
I've use this watch since receiving the order. Many functions. My favorite function is the heart rate monitor. It also tracks your O2 content. Amazing. I highly recommend. Citizen is a trusted brand. And this watch delivers as advertised.

  • High Tech Retro Styled Watch, but not really ergonomic.
When clasped to your wrist it tends to become irritating and thus you have to loosen the watch. This makes it slide up and down my wrist which is somewhat of a nuisance but tolerable. You are able to customize the widgets to remove or change the order in which they are presented but the buttons are quite small and if you have large fingers you'll find yourself attempting to press them more than once just to get them to do their job. If you live in a cloudy region will little to no sunlight it's nor recommended you buy this as you'll often find yourself having to resort to it's charging cable just to keep it powered and only that as it is not compatible with other charging stations for watches (at least not the one I have which charges my phone, earbuds, and was supposed to charge my watch too). It's cool looking, but not optimal. ... show more

  • A good watch, not a good smart watch.
I think the biggest question to ask yourself when buying this, why do you need it? I believe as just a watch to tell the date / time this is phenomenal with the MIP display. I have a hard time reading Casios Negative displays and I haven’t been able to find a positive Casio Square that I like.. this solves the legibility issue 100% with a beautiful display. When you get into the functions as a “smart watch fitness tracker” I think this is absolutely useless in that regard, I’m sure the hardware for it is there, but the software still has a long way to go. I’ve noticed big discrepancies in step count and heart rate data compared to my whoop and Apple products. The notifications for your emails and other apps seem to hang around on the screen too long and I found myself hitting the “back” button way too often throughout the day. Yes the watch is much bulkier than the standard squares, yes the software is still awful, but I’d still highly recommend this watch if you can accept it for just that, a watch. ... show more

  • Casio you can do better.!!!.
Decent watch if only Casio did not rush it out of the door.On my second watch after returning the first concerning connectivity issues and sync to CASIO WATCHES App,which of course looks more of a casio Ads page .I am surprised the second one I ordered is no difference. And I dont see any reason why I should keep it either.Sometimes this watch only connects /syncs with the App after a day or fails to connect to it at all.The watch is always on "waiting to connect to Casio Watches mode"...You cant really do anything with the watch without connecting it to the app.If it does, you will have to press a combinations of buttons to have anything launched and the buttons are so hard to press your fingers tires out .I mean your nails literally wears out. If you have owned other smartwatches you would think this is the worst smartwatch ever made.Casio gambled here but missed it big time.Takes upto 3 minutes to launch any form of the fitness trackers to action.Who wants to wait that long.?Casio which smart watch does that.?With this price tag there are a plethora of better options outside there.Bought this as a big fan of GShocks, but I am utterly dissapointed. One star is for the battery life,it doesnt seem run out,1 week in it is still almost full. Casio can do better.. ... show more

  • Amazing watch! Highly recommend!
A classic square equipped with an MIP display looks so nice. Although I wish they would release a version without all these smart features like HR monitor, blood oxygen, etc., I very much appreciate the fact it provides me with such options in case I need them. I also enjoy its notification function as I usually miss calls and messages due to my phone always being in silent mode. In addition, it's lighter than I expected, and the material is so soft, so it's as comfortable as my GW-5000. I think even if you don't need its smart features, it's still a very nice watch to wear daily. Casio is new to the smart watch industry, so these smart functions still need some further polish and improvement, but I'm already happy with it even without these functions, so I think things could only be better in the future. ... show more
