  • Looks good, is comfortable, accurate and has a great light.
I bought this for my son but have been wearing it for a few days to see if I'd like one for me. I love this watch. It's It's comfortable to wear, easy to read, has a fantastic back light and displays Day, Date & Time on the screen. I changed it to Day/Month rather than Month/Day and to 24Hr clock instead of AM/PM. The watch auto updates from the atomic clock so it's more accurate than my expensive watches. I'm ordering one for me. This is a great watch for the price. ... show more

  • Tough watch, dead accurate, wear it all the time.
Casio watches are a great value. Very durable (mine survived a motorcycle crash, sliding down the road with minor damage to the bezel). Dead accurate once it links up to the time standard in Colorado. Might have to place it in a window facing Colorado, but that’s a small price to pay! Sets daylight saving time automatically. Backlight is very handy, very easy to find the button and read the dial once turned on. I set all of my watches & clocks to this one. This is my second, first lasted ten plus years, battered but working perfectly, until the battery connection broke during a battery change. ... show more

  • Clunkier than previous model WV-58A
Wave-Captor watches from Casio (WV-58A) have been my goto watch for at least a decade. They keep perfect time and have nice functions beyond telling time. At their price, the fact that the watch far outlasts the band makes replacing them every 3-4 years acceptable. This time, all I could find was this WV-200R. It's 1.5 times the size of the earlier model - probably because of its 20BAR water rating (which I don't need). It's downright clunky. And the band is massive and has too many places that are hard to clean. It's a beast, but it still keeps perfect time and will do until Casio brings back the old model or creates a new, less-beastly watch. As soon as that happens, I will gladly trash this one. How's that for a value proposition? Update: As soon as I said my preferred model (WV-58A) was unavailable, I checked and it is back in stock. That does not change my opinion of the model in this review. It's still a well-performing bargain watch. ... show more

  • Great Inexpensive Atomic Time Watch
This is a great looking watch with a lot of features such as you can program time for 48 cities, auto calendar to 2099, stop watch, alarm function, day of the week in 9 languages, 200 meter water resistance, and atomic time keeping to keep your watch always accurate. This watch has a little bit more weight than the average inexpensive Casio watch, but it feels comfortable while on the wrist. The watch usually syncs up the Atomic Clock site during the early hours of the morning every day. I love this watch. ... show more

  • Good sports watch from a good digital watch maker.
First of all , I must state in case you are not aware, Casio is a quality digital watch maker. Its just so that digital quartz watches are not often expensive with the exception of the G-Shock line. If you are not into the large size and price of the G-Shocks, this is one of the better alternatives for less than $80. My favorite parts of this watch are the aluminum piece on the front that is finished in satin front facing but polished/glossy on the sides. This catches the light and adds a bit of flash to the mostly flat black color of the watch. I also like the four screws on the front that make it look rugged and durable and of course the red accents. The features of the watch are average as almost any other but here are the details that are not given. The Illuminator light is not LED but is a nice blue light, but only lasts about 4 seconds. The alarm is low tone and quick so if you are not wearing the watch, you will miss it. Finally, the most complicated part of the watch is setting the time zone. The instruction booklet includes a map of how Casio has programed the time zones. This does not match the zones a U.S. map will provide on a web search. Once you enter the time zone mode and modify the time, the watch will not show any signal being received but will sync that night, overnight and each night after that. Then the signal strength will begin to display. If the incorrect time zone is selected, then you will get an incorrect time and DST adjustment each night. This also applies to the world time(WT) setting. I have only had the watch for a few months but am happy with the price I payed and the product I received. ... show more
