Description

Whether you're looking for something to wear to the office, something for your next adventure, or everyday wear, your new watch is waiting. For durability, toughness, and classic style, our watches withstand nearly any adventure you can think of. CasioWith the launch of its first watch in November 1974, Casio entered the wristwatch market at a time when the watch industry had just discovered digital technology. As a company with cutting-edge electronic technology developed for pocket calculators, Casio entered this field confident that it could develop timepieces that would lead the market.Today, Casio is focusing its efforts on solar-powered radio-controlled watches: the built-in solar battery eliminates the nuisance of replacing batteries, atomic timekeeping means the users never have to reset the time. Recently, Casio launched a series of Bluetooth watches that sync to the users cell phone to automatically update the time. Casio is always moving time forward.

  • Great diving watch
This watch is very light and comfortable to wear. Its size is perfect and is not too thick like the G-shock series. I have had it a couple of days and the battery meter has always been to high. I live in a tropical country where there is always sunlight. I use this watch when I snorkel/freedive and it works great. I chose the Tough Solar as there is no need for a battery replacement which causes the seals to leak after opening the back and reseating. Setting the Tide was a bit tricky as my city was not on the list. I chose Santiago, Chile which has a code of (SCL) and is GMT-4 which is my time zone. I don't have DST so I turned this off. I checked on the internet for tide tables for my country and I entered the next high tide in the settings. Voila the tide and moon information is quite accurate and very handy. Update: I have had this watch for more than 2 years and its still going strong. I am in the sea at least once a week and this watch takes a good beating. Sometimes the currents push me against hard rocks and the watch takes a good hit. It works really good. The manual however is written in such a tiny font that it is difficult to read. I went to the Casio site and downloaded the pdf manual. I can only read it on the computer because when you print it it comes out really tiny. If you increase the magnification of the pages, it prints with parts missing. I am very happy as I use this Casio Tough Solar as an inexpensive diving watch. It has loads of functions which I am yet to read up on and is built pretty solid and is quite good looking. This watch might last 20 years for all I know, the only weak-point would be the rubber seal under water pressure. Time will tell. I had one casio that lasted 10 years. Update 28-Feb-2016: I have had this watch for over 4 years and it is still going strong. I go out into the sea at least once a week. Update 29-Jul-2017: After 6 years, the plastic hole in in the watch body where the band attaches has widened out and broke. I will try to fix by drilling with a fine drill and using a longer pin or stainless steel wire. Update 19 Jun 2019: Its almost 8 years and the watch works just like brand new. I have scuba dived with it to 50 ft and the seal is all intact. The only weakness is that the plastic holes where the watchband pins are are anchored has broken off for two of the 4 holes. The watch repair guy moulded some kind of liquid plastic which bonded to the watch case, to repair the broken hole. ... show more

  • Great Watch!
I love this watch! It's got so many great features. I especially love the fact that it is solar powered and waterproof. I also enjoy the alarm feature. Even though it's a mens watch, it looks great on women too. It's not too masculine, and it's exactly what I was looking for since I didn't want a super girly watch. It is not too bulky. ... show more

  • THE best value wristwatch PERIOD
I own probably 3 dozen watches, from China, Russia, Poland, and of course several Swiss, ranging from $20 to $1,000. Which watch do I wear more than any other? This $30 Casio. The value is incredible. It displays 2 time zones, which is perfect for traveling. It is light, solar powered, and mine has no scratches after 5 years and it's been all around the world, on African safaris and hikes up Asian mountains (the resin band just broke and it looks like a replacement is around $10). While I have been reluctant to test the waterproof seals on such a low priced watch, some reviewers report successfully taking it snorkeling. For travel it's great. I don't want to bring expensive watches and risk them getting damaged or stolen, and the multiple time zone feature is awesome. This is one of the only quartz watches in my collection with the rest being mechanical, but really it has every feature you could want, aside from satellite time synch, which is not needed as I've only needed to reset the time on this once since purchase. I kind of want to try some more Casio watches but really this one does it all, so why pay more? I don't really use the alarm function but it has alarms, timers, tide, moonphase. Wow! Best bang for the buck you will ever find with wristwatches. This is a great watch even if you are not a watch guy. ... show more

  • Great Fishing Watch, purchased in Feb 2015 with absolutely no problems to date! Love not having to change batteries!
Great fishing watch for inter-coastal fishing in St. Augustine, FL. I actually set it for Porpoise Point Beach because I fish the jetties across the bay where the tide is VERY VERY swift at incoming and outgoing tides. So, this helps greatly! It is also very rugged, I go fishing offshore almost every Tuesday and for several months was fishing a minimum of twice a week. Plus, I wear it every day because it looks OK and is accurate, I have not had to reset the time since I bought it. I also love the fact that I don't have to change batteries, because my last Casio fishing watch (Pathfinder PAS400B-5V) battery could not be replaced without sending it to the factory...and they couldn't even tell me how much it would cost to replace it until I sent it to the factory!!! Can you believe that rip-off?! AND it may have cost more than the watch! Plus the band broke and the replacement band, once again, would cost more than the watch! (Wow, I just discovered today that the watch I bought for $25.50 now sells for $248!! So, maybe I should get the battery replaced by the factory now and buy a new band! HA!) Anyway, back to this watch...I was concerned about being able to see the dial it in the sunlight and also concerned about it not staying charged indoors...but I was happy to discover that neither of those concerns were a problem. In fact, I press the night light several times a night with no problem at all! Also, I recommend downloading the Instruction guide from online because the one that comes with the watch is so small that I could barely read it. Plus you can search items of interest with the PDF, which makes it muuuuuuch easier to learn how to use it and set it up!!! The only reason I did not give it 5 stars was because it does not have the "best fishing times" by showing small fish on it like my last Casio fishing watch (PAS400B-5V). In fact I searched for days to find a "reasonably priced" fishing watch with all three fishing aids...moon, tide and best fishing times and found none! If anyone finds one at a reasonable price please reply to this and I will buy it! (But, hmmmm I am not actually sure if I can read a reply.) FYI: I also purchased the Casio Men's Casual Sport Watch (W753-1AV) but did not like it because I could not read the tide chart well nor the moon phase especially in sunlight. In fact, I am not even sure the tide chart worked because it never showed the correct tide. Compared to this watch, the W753-1AV is very inferior in my opinion. But oddly, I see it has high ratings by others. (But, that may be because they have not owned both to compare.) Good fishing! ... show more
