I've had this case for a little over 13 months now and, since I just accidentally threw my phone across the kitchen to pick it up and find it pristine yet again, I figure it's time to review it. I’ve included photos of how it looks after a year of wear and tear. I am probably a medium-heavy phone user - I work a desk job and am not on my phone a ton, but I have on several occasions dropped my phone pretty hard and its been completely protected by the combo of this case and a tempered glass screen protector. I have replaced the screen protector twice from minor cracks in the time I've had the case, but aside from some scuff marks the case is still going strong. Pros: * My phone is not broken, despite many many drops over the course of the year. - Again, I use this case with a tempered glass screen protector, I think the combo is key. * It's super slim - easy to fit in back pockets or my purse. * It isn't "grippy," which I prefer because rubber/silicon seems to hold onto dust and dirt and makes it harder to get in and out of pockets, but I also don't have any trouble with the case slipping out of my hand over-much. * It is thin enough that I can put a metal plate between it and my phone and use my magnetic car mount without having to stick something onto the outside of the case. (my car mount is a pretty darn strong magnet though) * the color is still beautiful - barring the scuffs from the aforementioned drops. * it's reasonably easy to get on and off, I do it every once in a while to clean the phone and it takes a little bit of jiggling, but once it's on it is snug. fits like a glove. * all the buttons are 100% functional and easily accessible through the case * the two pieces fit together really well (it really seems like a single-piece case), there's no lifting or separating and the hard plastic frame part hasn't cracked in any of the drops. * I just like the way it looks, the wavy texture on the back is a perfect mix of fun and classy. Cons: * As some other reviewers have mentioned, I think it would be hard to stick anything (pop socket, ring, metal plate for car mount) to the back of the phone due to the texture. I don't want to stick anything on my phone, so this hasn't bothered me, but worth bearing in mind. ... show more

I'm glad I waited to write the review for this product. I purchased it as a gift for my son who is very very gentle on his phone. Rarely has it in and out of his pockets and leaves it sitting on his desk most of the time. Given its usage I am very disappointed it cracked around the edge (in two places) and had to be replaced in 18 months. I love this case. I've owned many different brands of cases I've bought on Amazon (Spigen, Maxboost, Lifeproof, Tech Armor, Incipio, otterbox and some others) for my previous iPhone 6 but usually after a few weeks of use, cases made of TPU or having some rubbery grip type material would start showing some staining or discoloration from rubbing against jeans (the dyes from fabrics) or dirt from just being in my purse or table. When I've attempted to clean the marks off, the are usually absorbed into the case and don't come out. For some cases, the buttons would be difficult to press, it'd be too bulky, slippery or difficult to put on or remove. When I upgraded to the iPhone 7 last month and needed a new case, I just chose this one because it looked like a cool design, seemed like it would protect the phone and was affordable (I didn't want to spend $30+ for a case). I expected that it may have some flaws and start to look dirty after a while and I may have to replace it eventually. To my surprise, this case has been better than all the other cases I've used for the iPhone 6. I like how slim it is, relatively easy to put on and remove if needed, the coral color looks better in person than the photos. I was a bit unsure if I'd like the gold plastic trim but it actually looks nice. The buttons are easy and comfortable to press down, the cut outs for the port, speakers and camera are exact. The grip on the phone is nice and the texture is smooth and comfortable. It definitely adds some style to the phone. The best thing is I haven't experienced any staining or dirt marks building up on the case after several weeks of use. I am pretty careful with my phone so I wouldn't know how durable this case is in terms of protecting the phone from a drop but it definitely does great in protecting the phone during day to day use while adding some color and style to it. My great experience with this case makes me want to try other Caseology products in the future. I'm impressed. ... show more

Caseology Parallax has been my favorite case from iPhone 7 and onward. Until now. The last generation of these cases (labeled iPhone 8) was perfect to hold and use on all of these iPhones (7, 8, SE 2020). This new generation (labeled iPhone SE 2022) is a step down in quality. The rubber part of the case is now cheaply made, which alters the feel of the phone side buttons. The power button is now too easy to press, and the volume buttons too hard. So now you keep turning the phone off and on by just holding it. I got around this problems by recycling the rubber cover from the old case and using the plastic part from the new case. Love the case. It’s beautiful however it’s not that sturdy. I dropped it once and it got chipped right away. Despite that, I won’t be changing it anytime soon.
