Bought this Casabrews to replace a Delonghi that gave up the ghost. It has some small quirks, but it's generally just a matter of technique. Frothing for instance; more difficult initially, but having gotten used to the larger outlet and refining my technique it's looking velvety smooth and frothier than ever. Portafilter is 51mm, which is great because I can use all the accessories from the old dedica. I did opt for the casabrews branded bottomless portafilter because I wanted a snug fit, and it's perfect. Water tank is high capacity. After inevitably forgetting to refill, it did beep to let me know, which was nice. Programmable single/double shot volumes. Works well. I adjusted my double up 5ml and now I just press go and it hits the right level every time. I do enjoy the pressure guage; however, I would have liked it to have it's range listed in numbers. There is a small portion labeled "espresso" which while imprecise, is still useful for spotting drops and jumps in pressure. Counter space. Real estate. This machine has a very compact footprint, taking about as much space as an old toaster (bread, 2-piece), or a couple boxes of cereal. Surprisingly small for an espresso machine. Just be conscious of where you're applying pressure when twisting in the portafilter; you're trying to help stop the machine from rotating, not smashing a vice or torqueing a wrench. Lastly this makes good espresso. Is it amazing? No; but neither is the coffee I'm using or technique I am employing. It took a couple days to dial-in the weight and grind, and a couple more to get a good froth, but I'm now making good espresso at home for under $200. Color me impressed. All these things in mind this machine is punching high above its class; on par with espresso machines in the $200-$400 range. It has met or exceeded nearly every expectation, and I now enjoy making and drinking far too much espresso. With realistic expectations, you won't be disappointed. So far, 2 weeks in, we absolutely love this small, simple machine that is very afffordable. It doesn't have all the bells and whistles and adjustments of more expensive machines, but it feels solid, functions well, makes a great shot with gorgeous crema, and looks good on the counter. The company has provided all kinds of tips to be able to deal with or avoid mishaps that are much of what the negative reviews are about. The media could not be loaded. new adventure for me, so far so good. easy to assemble, clear instructions for the most part. a little intimidating to be honest lol but it mostly just looks fancy. i want to note it does not come with cups or a steamer cup, the pictures box were a little misleading. it does come with the scoop/tamper, which is nice. i opted for this over a nespresso because i think ill enjoy using this more and the cost of/avaliablity of the pods were not worth it to me. will update if needed ☺️ ... show more

This is our first try with espresso machines. It’s very basic, doesn’t include a bean grinder. It does supply us with delicious lattes and cappuccinos. The milk steamer can really create some froth.

I bought this low cost machine to make espresso at home and not break the bank. I'm quite impressed. I especially appreciate the pressure gauge which lets you know if your grind/tamping etc. is giving you a good pull. My previous machine did not have this, and it was harder to dial in my technique. The size of the machine is also smaller than my previous one, which I also like. The frother works well and I have no complaints. I read the reviews on many different Espresso coffee makers and this one by far seemed to have the best reviews over all so I gave it a shot. It was indeed very easy to learn to use and the espresso taste is fantastic. The look of the machine is very modern and looks great on our coffee bar. We couldn't be happier with the product. Tip for a wonderful after dinner espresso drink: 1 cup espresso (2 oz) and 1 cup licor 43 chocolate (2 oz) - pour over ice, stir and enjoy. :) ... show more

The media could not be loaded. This machine makes exceptional espresso. I travel to Italy often, and with the right conical burr grinder and Italian beans, I’m able to replicate my typical macchiato and cappuccino that I order at the local bar (that’s what they call a “coffee” shop in Italy). From start to finish (with cleanup) it takes me about 10 minutes to make my morning cappuccino. If you like good coffee (sorry, but American coffee is trash) and saving money, then replace your 10 - 15 minute outing to Starbucks with brewing at home. After doing the math, my morning cappuccino cost me 50 cents and tastes a million times better than anything you can get at a chain coffee shop like Starbucks. I’ve made my entire family coffee drinks with this, and everyone is very impressed. On that note, this is a machine is best suited or an individual or couple. If you are making drinks for a family, then you need something bigger, and more integrated with a built in grinder. ... show more

I bought this as a Christmas gift for my husband who LOVES espresso. It took him a while to figure out how it works. He's very happy with the taste. But 2 things he doesn't like is that he has to run it twice every time to get enough for a small cup. The amount of one cup is slightly more than a shot. And it's NEVER warm. He makes the coffee and has to heat it up on the stove. Not sure if there's something wrong with the machine or if the heating element they use is not good. This is very inconvenient to deal with after every cup so we will not buy this Brand again. Annoying because I researched and thought this one was good. ... show more
