  • Worth every penny once you get it figured out
Size: 14" to 24"
Rock solid and easy to use once you figure out that the assembly instructions are wrong. Go by the photos in the listing, not the drawings in the printed assembly instructions. And while you’re at it, twist that rubber bicycle handlebar grip thing 180 degrees. (Those nubs should be on the finger side, not the palm side.) Once you get it set up properly you’ll discover that 90 percent of your time is spent getting everything ready for the next cut. The cut itself is easy, thanks to the mill. Get a couple of actual ripping chains and a sharpener, ripping one eight feet long board in white oak is about the same as 35-50 crosscuts from the chain’s point of view. ... show more

  • Unbeatable for price and functionality
Size: 14" to 24"
Is this perfect? no! it was a pain to assemble. Just alot of lining stuff up and making sure everything was oriented correctly. Some of the directions were minimal and a little confusing, which seems to common to all the brands of these sold. I used it with my 18" ego chainsaw and ripped some 7 foot long quarters of an oak log that I had quartered with the chainsaw previously. I cut some true 2 inch planks out of the sections that ranged from 6 to 8 inches wide. The sections were not secured very well when I ripped them and allowed a bit of variation in depth of the cuts.. maybe as much as 1/4 inch over the length. However it worked and worked well. I turned a 24 inch hollow oak log into about 10 2 inch by 6 to 8 inch rough oak boards. Both the bolt on sawmill and the ego chain saw did better than I expected. ... show more

  • Great value, works great!
Size: 14" to 36"
The assembly was easy and fits 2 of my saws. I have cut several logs thus far and the frame is solid and square. I am using it regularly as I have 15 logs to cut, pine and oak. The biggest one is 28 inches which I bought a 36 inch saw to do. I would recommend buying the pulling system as it can be tiresome to push this through the logs, especially if your chain isn't super sharp. ... show more

  • Works great!
Size: 14" to 24"
I was on the fence buying this one but went with it. It took 20 minutes to put it together. Granted the instructions are not great but if you are mechanically inclined you should not have any problems putting it together. Look at the pictures and go for it. As far as milling I have milled 200 board ft so far with a Sthil MS271 20" bar I am getting 14"- 15" wide planks and have not had anything come loose. The only modification made to this is I added a wider washer on the bar clamp tube it crushed a little with the original. ... show more

  • Missing nose guard!
Size: 14" to 48"
Missing the nose guard that surrounds the tip of the saw and some of the small hardware. The box was very ripped with a few pieces of clear tape trying to hold it together so it could have fell out during shipping. I will make my own I guess. The wrench that came with it didn't fit any of the hardware and the small nuts weren't even the same size on outside but same I.D. and thread SMH. All in all it feels sturdy so far. ... show more

  • Works well.
Size: 36"+9FT
Once assembled it worked as described. One of the screws did not line up so I had to cut off the nut to realign it.

  • Dangerous, out-of-spec garbage
Size: 14" to 24"
First off, it cannot be overstated how poor the instructions are. If you're mechanically inclined, you might be able to get it assembled, provided that the pieces you received aren't out of spec (they will be). Many of the pieces have been updated since the instructions were originally photographed, so you'll be left to solve the mystery of which pieces have been substituted with even cheaper junk. For the pieces that are present, it is difficult to describe how frustratingly close, yet misaligned/tapped the pieces are. The tools they provide don't precisely fit the hardware they include, so you'll round off the bolts. They obviously eyeballed the poor spot welds, because the corresponding fittings are just enough out of alignment that you *might* be able to get it assembled after tinkering for hours. Any money that you thought you would save by purchasing this inferior version will be wildly offset by the loss of your time trying to guess at the assembly and trying to get it to work. Sure, you likely have a can-do attitude if you're using a sawmill, but purchasing this is adding a herculean assembly project to whatever you already have planned. You can safely assume that you can add a day or two to your project by the time you'll finally get this fully assembled. Then the problems will really start... Because of how things are misaligned and poorly produced, the first time you attach this to your chainsaw, the nuts will start to jiggle loose and the amount of slop in its pieces becomes a dangerous liability. Please learn from my mistake and just spend the extra coin getting the name brand version, knowing how much frustration and danger you will have saved yourself! DO NOT BUY! DO NOT BUY! DO NOT BUY! ... show more

  • Is your chainsaw big enough
Size: 14" to 36"
Ordered this to use and found out my biggest chainsaw doesn’t support a big enough bar for it. Good design and looks like its well built. Watched many videos on it. Down sides is it will be hard on the chainsaws takes time to use. But its portable.
