  • Good 4-ply tubeless tire, no longer US made
Size: 13X5-6
Update 06/03/2020: Tires work great, no complaints! After using them for front tires on a zero turn mower long enough, I have realized the point others have made that the smooth tires do grab the grass less. The ribbed tires are a plus if you need better traction, but if you aren't mowing highway ditches (or whatever needs that kind of grip) then you just have to be careful that it does not rip up grass when your front tires are turning sharply. I stuck with the ribbed tires as that was oem for my application, but might try the smooth tires next time. Purchased 4 of these exact tires from 3 different places. A local farm store, Summit Racing and Amazon. The local farm store only had one of these (all others were off-brand 2-ply tires). Amazon was the cheapest. Out of the 4 tires, two were slightly deformed, but still able to inflate myself. The last two (from Amazon) were actually not deformed at all, but after as much pain as it was to install, I took them to a tire shop so I wouldn't gouge up/bend my new rims ($7 each to mount where I live). One that was slightly deformed took forever for me to seat the bead, so I caved in and used ether. Outside of a new pair of pants afterwards, it worked well. Using these for front tires on a zero-turn mower. One issue I noticed was when running these under maybe 13-15lbs of pressure, they can easily bleed off air around the bead. The reason for running lower pressure in a mower tire is that it gives some softer ride. When keeping them at 15+lbs they seemed to hold air well (still without a tube). The rims I used were 6"x3.5". These did used to be made in USA, but all 4 that I purchased recently were made in china (I love china). ... show more

  • Terribly deformed
Size: 16.5x6.50-8
Looks like a Halloween prop for the break room at a tire shop. Absolutely horrifying how deformed these are. Cant imagine how on earth I'll ever get these seated on 5.5 inch rims. Who in their right mind would crush these or manufacture that way??? Praise the lord...

  • Perfect Replacement for Front Tire on My Hustler ZTR
Size: 11X4-5
This tire was a exact replacement for my Hustler Zero Turn Mower front tire. I thought about breaking down the tire and installing a tube, but for the price it was more cost effective to order a new tire and wouldn't have to worry about flats. I had the tire in a couple of days. The tire wasn't that hard to remove or install. I used Dawn Dish Liquid to lube up the lip of the tire which makes removal and installation much easier. I also clamp vise grips to the rim and use 2 large flat blade screwdrivers to work the tire over the steel rim. The vise grips help hold the tire in place while you are using each screwdriver to get a bite on the rubber tire lip over the rim. I didn't have any problems inflating the tire. I removed the core from the valve stem to allow the maximum amount of air into the tire to get the tire beads to seat and then reinstalled the valve stem core once the beads seated. It's been a couple of months since I installed the tire. It is wearing well and no more flats. When I need another tire I will be ordering this tire again. Great Value. ... show more

  • NOT AS DESCRIBED
Size: 13X5-6
The description says 20 32nds. NOT EVEN CLOSE!!!! It's about 4 32nds (1/8th). It does says 4 ply on the tire that I received. Mine was NOT crushed like others said theirs was. Helpful hint to make it a little puncture proof: To help keep from getting thorns in my tire (like I have in the past), I cut about 3 1/2" wide tread (all the way around the tire) off my old tire & put it inside this new one. And I had to cut about 3" of the length to fit flat inside. Then I put an inner tube inside & inflated it. So the thorns in my yard has to penetrate 2 layers of tread to puncture the inner tube. ... show more

  • Not made in the US as claimed in the listing
Size: 13X5-6
I don't think any small tires are made in the US any more, so I was excited to see these listed as such. Unfortunately that part is a lie. They seem to be fine tires otherwise, fairly soft and went on pretty easy. Replacing the OEM "chang-shen" brand on my JD zero turn.

  • Good Tire but a Pain to Inflate
Size: 13X5-6
My mower came with Carlisle front tires so this was an obvious choice. I spent hours trying different methods to get the sidewalls to pop out and seal. I've changed lots of tires in the past and have never had this much trouble. I finally saw a youtube video on the bucket method. I tried it first with a metal bucket and couldn't get a seal but then I tried a plastic bucket and it worked. Note I didn't try the lighter fluid or butane methods. ... show more

  • Same as original equipment, don't buy cheap ones!
Size: 11X4-5
Buy these! Same as original equipment. Old ones lasted 14 years & I expect the same from these. They feel thick & heavy. I brought to my local tire guy & had them mounted for $10! Don't waste your money on cheaper, Amazon Best Seller tires. Bought them last year, 1/2 the price. Thin & almost impossible to mount by yourself, the sidewalls were collapsed on each other & you don't want to know what it took to seat the bead. That's why I let a professional do it this time! The cheap tires didn't last a season without losing air & this year unseated the bead. Cut my losses & bought Carlisle. But then again, I'm just a FOG &what do I know. ... show more

  • Just what I needed
Size: 11X4-5
these were just what I needed. Same fit and style as what I was replacing. Now I know why they sell these tires already mounted on wheels. I saved a lot of money by buying the tires and tubes but it was a nightmare putting this together. The wheel is so small that there isn't any room to get at anything. I did get them (and I did both front wheels on the mower) but it was terrible. Had to be very careful not to pinch the new tubes. Normally you would air the tubes up a little so you don't catch it with the tire spoon but there isn't any room to do that. Saved over a hundred bucks but I think I will make some special tools to make it easier next time. Or tell my kid to stop running onto stuff... I'll work on some tools. ... show more
