I purchased this unit for use in a 2021 Lexus RC 350 equipped with a Mark Levinson stereo w/wired factory Android Auto (AA)/Apple Car Play (ACP) support, and a Samsung Galaxy S20 Plus 5g. I've used the phone with many other Bluetooth connections including a USA-Spec BT45 Bluetooth adapter in my 07 GS 350. The RC's AA/ACP works seamlessly with the S20 5+ using the wired connection. Pros: • The unit sets up easily (plug and play as promised) and paired seamlessly with my Samsung S20+ 5g. • Port connection vs. hard-wired USB cable allows the use of longer cable supporting more placement options. • It starts up quickly and within 15 seconds of engine start my playlist is playing. • Sound quality is equivalent to my Lexus factory Bluetooth connection. • Rapid response and full compatibility with my Lexus Touchscreen. ZERO lag and access to all sections of the screen. • Full preservation of existing screen function. No replaced menu items. • Flush USB C connection port allows the use of any compatible cable • AA *AND* ACP support • Manufacturer-provided management and configuration app • Updates in-place via mobile phone. Does not have to be removed from the vehicle. • Value – the most expensive unit but the best-running, fullest featured, and only one app-supported. Cons • Price - most expensive unit tested Summary: This is “The Keeper”. It works every bit as well as the Anyfar, and addresses both of the issues I had with it. It supports ACP, which was a requirement for me.     • Does not work!
I purchased this item to play wireless CarPlay in my 2018 Porsche 911 GTS. It worked well the first few weeks but shortly there after it began to drop the connection. eventually the dropping of the connection got so bad that I tried plug into the wireless device. Which defeats the purpose. At this point the device looses the connection 100% of the time. Complete waste of time and money. Stay wired. ... show more

I researched the different options for wireless CarPlay for my 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee Altitude that comes standard with wired CarPlay. I’m happy with my choice. It’s easily hidden, no connection problems regardless of where my phone is in the vehicle. It connects quickly by the time I am ready to pick a song or map a location before driving. With remote start, it’s connected before I get in the car. No loss of sound quality compared to wired CarPlay. All functions on my steering wheel work. Call functions and Siri work. Very minor lag changing songs/volume from the steering wheel (+ or - a second). No lag at all using the screen. It does use up more of your iPhone battery of course without being plugged in but it’s nice you can plug the charger into the device itself or use another port if you need a charge. Very happy not to get tangled in wire and have a clean look inside of the Jeep now. Worth the money spent ... show more

It works quickly and is easy to set up, some minor glitches here and there where the phone will disconnect and reconnect several times on start up before continuing without issue. I would not recommend using multiple phones with this device as despite my phone(android) being listed as the preferred device my wifes phone (iphone) would connect first about 1/3 of the time ... show more

I recently purchased the Carlinkit 5.0 Adapter, and I have to say, it does exactly what its advertised to do no my 2022 Rav4! The seamless connection to my car's infotainment system is fantastic, allowing me to access my iPhone via CarPlay effortlessly. However, I do want to emphasize the importance of performing a software update before first use. Although it’s a simple step, until it was done, my cars software just kept restarting. I wish it was easy plug and play and it would update in the background but it's not a deal breaker. The process was straightforward, and once I completed it, everything worked flawlessly. However, I wonder how someone who is not tech savvy would have managed!!! Overall, the Carlinkit 5.0 Adapter is a game-changer, but don't skip that crucial update—it makes all the difference! Works perfectly on my 2020 Corolla Hatchback when the wired solution was laggy, and frequently cut in and out. This thing is fast and lag free, and has no issue pairing with multiple devices. Finally resolved my Android Auto woes.

    • Stopped working after a few weeks
Just randomly stopped working after a few weeks. The light just blinks blue and it doesn't connect to anything, not my car or my phone. My car doesn't even detect that it's connected in the USB port.

overall it does what i bought it to do - makes my apple carplay wireless. however, it takes a long moment to load when i first start the car (24 palisade), which is pretty unappealing, and my biggest problem with it. it does have memory so when my husband is in the car with me, you can click which phone to pair to when it’s loading. which is nice that you can easily pair a remembered phone. there’s a small lag when you skip or rewind a song, but not super noticeable that it causes a problem. i definitely don’t think this is the best wireless adapter out there, but it works for now. ... show more
