I had planned to surprise my daughter with a CareBear for her birthday. As a tradition, I always get her one every Christmas and birthday. The CareBear itself was absolutely lovable, just as I expected. However, there was one thing that my daughter and I were disappointed about - it came without the original box. Instead, it was delivered in a simple bag. While it may not seem like a big deal for most 7-year-olds, my daughter loves the whole experience of receiving a gift, from the packaging to the paperwork and the Care Bear coin. It's part of the excitement for her. Despite this minor hiccup, I am pleased to say that Amazon stepped up and made it right for my daughter. I bought this bear because it was new, only to give it as a gift to a child who already had one in the previous rendition.
