  • Worth the price
Style: Spirit Size: Single
I had a cheap $25 one I bought off of Amazon it was just horrible audio was not very good and when I was on phone calls nobody could hear my voice it was cutting out bad. Let me tell you paying the $100 for the cardo is worth the price. Audio quality is amazing, no issues at all. And it also does firmware updates. This is no cheap Bluetooth headset you find at gas stations this is the real deal. It comes with two different types of microphones for full face helmet and half helmet. Comes with a set of speakers. Fits perfect and battery life is wonderful ... show more

  • Great value, quality product! Updated review!
Style: Spirit Size: Single
Primarily bought it to pair up with my riding friend's comm. Haven't used it for that yet so I'll update my review when I do. Meanwhile, installation was easy. Pairs easily with my S10. Music sounded fine at moderate volume. I don't intend to crank it up. I only need music to be in the background. Update: audio quality is good at all volumes. Also don't intend to talk on calls while riding. However, I tested it while walking around outside with my helmet on. My friend said I sounded clear and I could hear them clearly as well. I like the simplicity of the unit with the 4 buttons that are accessible even with gauntlets on. Entire rig added about 8.5 oz to my helmet. Haven't tested battery life fully, but it was fine on an hour ride. Overall, for the price and my intended use, it fits my needs. I ride mostly alone. The few times I ride with my friend, I'm counting on it to work fine pairing to what ever comm they're using. UPDATE: pairs easily with my friend's other brand unit. Sounds good, easy to communicate during rides with him. Update: I bought 3 and probably buying a 4th, 2 for my HJC helmets, 1 for my son's AGV, 1 for my AGV. Note: installed the speakers without the mounting pads. The pads added too much thickness and speakers pressed hard on my ears in my HJC C91. The cheek pads hold them in just fine without velcro. Plus I like the ability for them to move around freely if I want to adjust position without unvelcroing all the time. ... show more

  • Good value, works exactly as expected, speaker placement is KEY
Style: Spirit Size: Single
Installation was super simple. Some people do the adhesive, but I chose the clamp/clip on my AGV K6 and it works well. I was ready to give this thing a low rating because of the audio quality, but it turns out I just didn’t place the speakers well. My helmet has deep speaker wells just for this, but for some sized heads, it puts the speakers too far from your ear, resulting in a tinny poor quality audio. I then tried installing the included speaker spacer pads to position them closer to my ear, and the sound quality improved drastically! Decent quality sound, especially for the price. Downside: The EQ settings are only available with the HD version - but here’s the BS kicker: the unit is capable of it, they just choose to lock it out unless you get the upgraded speakers and scan a QR code. So you’re paying for a device that you can’t use all of. I thought that was pretty dumb. Aside from that, decent connectivity, easy controls and buttons and I’ve never dropped a connection yet. Took it for several 4+ hour rides and it was never less than 50% battery after any of those rides. Build quality seems very solid. ... show more

My husband had purchased the Ridekingz and he was trying to compare it. Sometimes he pinches Pennie’s like that but let me tell you the quality of sound is night and dayyyy. Connecting is easy, quality of sound is impressive, great value compared to options on the market. Linkable to Siri.

  • Defective but replaced, i love it!
Style: Spirit Size: Single
Connected and paired it with my phone and already the left channel doesn't work. Sending it to get replaced. Having said that, the speaker that did work was fairly loud. It comes with a couple of different mics to choose from. One on a boom and the other that velcros to your helmet. The software seems easy and straight forward. I do like how it’s very difficult to accidentally turn off the headset while riding. I will update when i get a working unit. The defective unit was replaced and everything is working the way it should. You have to be realistic with this. If your helmet is noisy you’ll have issues hearing. But with that said i ride a loud vtx1800 and it works very well. Battery seems to last and it pairs easily. Get use to the buttons so you dont have to feel around while riding. But all in all, i love it! ... show more

  • Better than expected
Style: Spirit Size: Single
First review I’ve ever written. Doing so because I think it’s a great product. I use it for solo riding, mostly for GPS directions and podcasts on long rides. But I was surprised to see that it plays music pretty good. I’ve even had to lower the volume because it was hurting my ears. The sound quality is good too. Very good, if you ask me. I’ve made phone calls and video calls while riding to test the mic’s quality and I’ve been told that sound is very clear, not what anyone would expect to hear when riding 80 miles an hour with an open face helmet. I read some bad reviews before getting the product, I’m sorry for everyone who may have received a faulty product but mine works great. It’s affordable, pairs immediately, sound and works great. THE BAD: I’m not a fan of the controls. It’s pretty uncomfortable to pause the music while riding. You have to use two fingers to press two different buttons at the same time. They’re far away from each other and it’s kinda uncomfortable. But nothing you don’t get used to over time. Haven’t looked into it but there might be an option to customize the control buttons which would solve my only problem with it so far, if not Cardo should definitely add this feature. ... show more
