I don't know why I waited, I think I thought I'd waste the money and the sound would be meh. Well, I was blown away by this. Sound is awesome, good bass sound for music, and the phone works well as everyone could hear me that I talked to. Install went alright, some points where you kinda gotta stuff and make the wires hide. At first you'll look at it all and think there is no way it will all go into the helmet, but then it does as you work at it. This is LOUD. I have no idea what the people who said they can't hear it are doing. I have the speakers positioned like the instructions said and I can make engine and wind noise go away. I installed this on a HJC CL-17 helmet, but imagine the install would be about the same for any full face. quality is there, the app could be better, didn't seem to want to stream smoothly on my phone (Pixel 5), but using it as just a normal bluetooth speaker/headset works fine. Stream spotify and answering calls just works. Maybe I'll try the app again as I'm sure my phone is blocking or causing the issues. I recommend this for sure! ... show more

I’m beyond happy with my purchase. I rode so I like to hear my music loud. I will say I’m use to ear buds that cut down on wind noise so that did take some getting use to but I definitely hear more music than wind with this. I also talked to my grandmother for about 20 mins before she realized I was on my motorcycle…don’t worry she only panicked a little but I’m her 1st born granddaughter so teeeheee…easy to charge…batter life is long & the app keeps you informed of your headset. Super easy to connect, and I can go from the helmet to several feet away before the connection breaks range. Well worth the money spent. ... show more

The sound is decent unless you have a super loud bike. Then this may not be enough to hear well. And buying “new” but open box to save a few bucks is a bad idea. It was missing essential sticky tabs to use this properly right away. I had to rig some stickers I had at home just to get this to stick and use right away without having to wait days. The app is pretty useless and so are the comms. The com is so bad, you have to be with in maybe 50ft to stay connected. My husband and I just use the phone feature to stay in touch or else this would be absolutely useless for communication. ... show more

First new headset in years and these are amazing! Updated software after charging, bench tested working and started install. These have to be exactly on your ears to get all the great sound. They're a concert in a shell. The wheel has a great feel and is easy to find but has a delayed response, I'd guess it's a software prompt. You can just Bluetooth these to your phone for calls/GPS/music or the Android app offers big, easy buttons like Android auto/car play and accommodates Pandora or any 3rd party music app as long as you open it first. The app has radio presets and honestly works very well. The JBL speakers offer great sound across the spectrum, even bass tones but no speaker rattling power thankfully. The only downside so far is the speakers are thick (and broad)! My modular flip helmet has no pockets for speakers so these caused incredibly awful pressure just in test fitting. It took several tries to make sure I had the speakers in the absolute best spots. Then I traced and dug pockets out of the foam very, very carefully a little at a time until perfect. I found a steep bit made a sharp edged speaker well losing as little foam as possible. Wiring and connectors tucked into the lining at the bottom and can't be felt at all. Not a tough install and no more pressure on the ears. Temple pressure headaches would have totally been a deal breaker. Some of the pics I'd seen made the controller look ginormous and I wasn't really looking forward to that. Thankfully, the size and depth is very reasonable and the jointed adhesive mount plate went on easily. I opted for the boom mic but kept it close to the cheek pad as I'll rarely use it and don't want it in the way of pulling the chin bar down. I hope this helps anyone in the same situation. I tried a few other brands and iether the sound was ear piercing or the mic fell off, poor quality. This Cardo was a return however it appears to have never been used, saving me $60.00 from a new model, I'm totally happy with this purchase. The JBL speakers sound better than any other headset that i've tried in the past and phone calls also sound really good, so far I love this unit. I am even getting better radio reception than I usually get in my car and xm radio works off my phone. although it's stated that you need thex model in order to use siry or alexis that's not true mine works really well I can even use voice commands to make phone calls with, I don't plan on using a second set as my wife can;t get on my bike due to health issue's guess if I ever ride with other's I can try connecting with them at that time. This Cardo Freecom is well worth the money I paid a lot more for my first unit years ago and it starting breaking almost emediately. ... show more

I ride Adventure and highway. I wear loop ear plugs (the type for concerts) and can hear the music perfectly with a high reduction of road noise. Great price at this lower tiered one. Can't hear your music while riding more than 25 mph even with volume all the way up in a full face helmet. Can't maintain a Bluetooth connection, my girlfriend and I both randomly disconnect while riding and have to go through the whole process of repairing and restarting the app to pair the unit, and that's if we can even speak to each other. We've tested regular phone calls, no issues there, so I'm guessing it's something to do with their app that hardly works. ... show more
