  • Great little cardo!
Style: Spirit HD Size: Single
I recently purchased the Cardo Spirit communication system for my motorcycle, and I couldn’t be more impressed. As someone who spends a lot of time on the road, having reliable, clear, and hands-free communication with fellow riders is essential—and the Cardo Spirit delivers on all fronts. Sound Quality: First off, the sound quality is fantastic. The speakers are crisp, with clear highs and deep bass that really enhance the listening experience. Whether I’m chatting with my riding group or listening to music, the audio is loud and clear, even at highway speeds. The noise-cancelling microphone works wonders, blocking out wind and road noise, so my riding buddies always hear me loud and clear without any annoying static or distortion. Ease of Use: The Cardo Spirit is incredibly user-friendly. The interface is simple and intuitive, with easy-to-use controls that can be operated with gloves on—no fumbling around or having to take your hands off the handlebars. Pairing the device with my phone and other Bluetooth-enabled devices was a breeze, and it connects quickly every time I start my bike. The voice command feature is also a nice touch, allowing me to keep my focus on the road while answering calls, changing tracks, or adjusting volume without having to press any buttons. Comfort & Fit: Comfort is another area where the Cardo Spirit excels. The unit attaches securely to my helmet, and the microphone and speakers fit comfortably without feeling bulky or intrusive. I’ve used it for several long rides, and I’ve never had any discomfort or issues with the fit. Battery Life: Battery life is impressive as well. On a full charge, I easily get several days of riding with occasional use, and when I need to top it off, the device charges quickly. For long-distance rides, the Cardo Spirit has more than enough power to keep up. Overall: The Cardo Spirit is hands-down one of the best motorcycle communication systems I’ve used. It’s simple to set up, delivers crystal-clear sound, and offers great comfort for long rides. Whether you’re riding solo or with a group, this device improves the experience by making communication seamless, and I feel safer knowing I can stay connected at all times. If you're a rider looking for a reliable and high-quality comm system, I highly recommend the Cardo Spirit. It’s worth every penny! ... show more

  • I won't rode without it ever again
Style: Spirit HD Size: Single
So for the longest, I was riding with a 3/4 helmet, and it was more or less roomy enough by my ears to accommodate earbuds. But I made the switch to full face and the earbuds wouldn't fit under the infinitely more snug full face. That's where Cardo came in. I got the HD because radio is neat and I like listening to local stations, and I also have no riding buddies so the range isn't a huge deal for me. I may upgrade the speaker set, but it's not super urgent. The bass boost sucks, though. The other, louder setting is the way to go, in my opinion. Although, I may come back and ammend this once I do get the JBL set, for now, the regular 40mm speakers are quite serviceable. The overall sound quality (once dialed in) reminds me of those headphones that used to come with CD Walkmans back in the 90s. You know the ones. They don't cup your ear, but instead just kinda sit on top of them. These speakers are more or less the same kinda situation, but they're stuffed inside your helmet and, as a result, sound a lot better than those old foam janks. And as far as on the go controls go, as long as you're not trying to do something too terribly complex, the unit suffices for basic control function. Some of the gestures in the instructions look like Naruto hand signs, but I also haven't bothered to memorized them. Voice controls, in my experience, are excellent. I don't know whether me being a woman with a higher voice helps me cut through the static, but the problems other reviews have noted are basically nonexistent for me. Again, your mileage may vary. Having good diction and projecting well will always catch voice recognition's attention better, but it's also a nascent technology with all the issues inherent therein. Overall, the quality is top notch, and I couldn't recommend this enough! ... show more

  • Great inexpensive intercom
Style: Spirit HD Size: Single
Purchased these before a 2800 mile trip on my bike. Bluetooth connected easily to my IPhone, enabling me to hear text messages and take phone calls. Met up with a friend halfway through the trip that also purchased this unit just for the trip. Bike to bike intercom worked excellent!! We had a great time riding and shooting the bull. Easily connected bike to bike every morning before we headed out to see the sights. As long as we were within a 1/4 mile of each other or line of sight they worked perfectly. Clear conversations without a lot of background noise. Charged them every night and never got below 35% battery. No button to push, just talk into the mic. These made the trip as far as I’m concerned. We could point out wildlife and unique objects in route. Road hazards like gravel in the curves and debris in the roadway. Excellent quality for the price. ... show more

  • Cardo Spirit HD
Style: Spirit HD Size: Single
"Relatively" straightforward set-up process for my HJC I10 full-face motorcycle helmet - also suggests following along with a set-up tutorial video provided by Cardo. Took me about 20-30 minutes to install as it was my first time fiddling with the foam padding inside the helmet. Secured all wires through the head harness of the padding and the end product seems to be great! I do not use the call function much and so I cannot say much in regards to the quality of calls over 60 mph, but I can say that the sound quality is quite impressive for a unit of its price and size. With clear notes of bass, mids, and trebles, you can now ditch those noise cancelling earbuds you've been illegally wearing! The Cardo charges relatively quickly, with a full charge taking roughly two and a half hours. Can't really say much about how long the battery life is, so maybe my future update will reveal any discrepancies. PS. there will be a visible cord connecting the Cardo device to the internal wiring from the speakers and microphone (refer to my image). I did not know this prior to purchasing, but it seems so obvious! ... show more
