Our 2004 Bruin has been in storage more than ridden in the last 20 years. Finally bought some land and thought I'd get it running. Tried cleaning the carb but the bowl seal was faulty so thought I'd buy a new one with some jets, etc. I saw this on Amazon and thought why not replace the whole carb or at the very least use this one as a rebuild kit. I decided to swap out the whole thing. Just had to connect the choke and throttle cables to the new carb and then adjust the idle screw. Other than that it ran like it was brand new. Took about 30 min as I already had my old carb off but it was super simple to replace. Highly recommend. ... show more

Installed easily as it is exactly like the factory carb. From day one it acted as though it was adjusted too lean. The choke is not quite right on it. Have had it for about a year now and it has never performed as it should. I’m done trying to deal with it. Getting ready to buy another to replace it. The issue I was having was the ATV would not idle. It would backfire through the Carburetor. Adjusting the valves did not resolve the issue. Once this carburetor was installed that issue went away. However the ATV would not run at high speed. After trying several adjustments with no improvement. I replaced the main Jet from the original carburetor and that resolved the issue. ... show more

I installed this on a Yamaha Kodiak 400. Out of the box it was running too lean. I figured out it comes with the right jet installed for the 350. A 400 and 450 you need to use a bigger jet. I used the middle size provided (I have the middle engine size), turned the idle mixture screw out 1/2 turn, and it runs perfect! ... show more

To say I was skeptical would be an understatement for such a cheap carb, but I figured it was worth a try as a new OEM was about $400. So far its been working great and I've had no issues. Only time will tell how long it will last, but for the money, it was worth a try.
