So my family has gotten way into playing pickleball. My family is very athletically inclined and very competitive. We have been testing out many different types of paddles and found that there is a lot of variation from company to company on paddles that are at a mid-range as far as price. I wanted another paddle with airflow cutouts but I didn't want to spend the money. (My 14-year-old son has taken over that model)...but even though we have quite a selection of paddles I still wanted one that I could call mine. I looked at many different types and finally settled on this paddle after reading the reviews. The price point on this paddle was good and it had all the features I wanted. I made the right choice folks, this paddle has the feel of a $200 + dollar model. I can see this being used by skilled players as well as those who aspire to be great. This is a very nice pickleball paddle, but I am not a fan of the smooth grip. I prefer a grip with a raised ridge. I can add a new raised ridge grip easily enough, but it adds to the cost of the racket and I am not sure I would have purchased this particular racket if I had know it had a smooth grip. The two tone color of the grip looks like it is a raised ridge grip but it is not. If you like a smooth paddle grip, I believe you will like this paddle. I've reviewed Selkirks that weren't as nice as this paddle; it has spin, control, and touch like nothing in its price range that I've tested and reviewed.
