  • Outdoor Canopy APPARENTLY can't be used Outdoors.
Size: 12x12 Color: White
Very disappointed with This Company. I purchased this canopy for use outdoors. We were at a game and were using canopy to get some shade. We used the stakes that came with the Canopy and were sitting under it when a slight wind caused it to fall and become damaged. I contacted the company CARAVAN because the canopy was still under the 2 year warranty. I was told first that the product was discontinued. They offered me a 10% discount on the purchase of a new one. I told them that I could not afford a new one and requested a refund. Was then told to contact Amazon for a refund. Told them that it was past the return deadline for a refund, so I asked for a similar product. THEN AND ONLY THEN was I told that the warranty was void because the canopy was damaged by wind. You knew that when I submitted the warranty claim because I said it and sent pictures., but didn't say this until I wanted a refund or similar product. (This is copied from their website.) This warranty is void if: product damage is accidental or deliberate or caused by rain, wind or other forces of nature. but...(also copied from their website) Caravan® Instant Canopies are manufactured to provide instant protection from the elements. They stand securely on dirt, grass or pavement, but to avoid a sudden wind, it is best that they are staked or weighted down. Though they can withstand the elements, please be reminded that Caravan® Canopies are not meant to be a permanent structure, so they should not be left unattended for lengthy periods of time. ... show more

  • UPDATED: Great economy canopy for farmer's market or recreational use
Size: 10'x10' base; 10'x10' top Color: Blue
This canopy has held up great (so far) after 8 weeks of farmer's market. It was impossible to put up alone the first couple times, but after it "loosened up", I am able to get it set up by myself without much trouble. The canopy also kept me dry in a downpour the first day I used it, but the top has stretched a bit now and would probably collect water if subjected to rain again. I keep the fabric cover on when I collapse the frame for easier setup, which will cause it to wear faster than if you removed it before folding up the frame. The carrying case I received does have wheels, but is flimsy, poorly-stitched, and the seams have already started pulling apart, so don't count on it to last as long as the canopy itself. (6/19/16:) I've had to repair the case in many places where the seams did pull apart, but anyone with a sewing machine and some scrap fabric can do the repairs in a few minutes (I used denim to reinforce the inside plus 1" nylon webbing for reinforcement of the carrying straps). Update 6/19/2016: One of the metal bars in the sides of the canopy snapped at the bolt during normal setup at market today. For recreational (infrequent) use, it will probably last longer, but it still managed to survive a full season plus almost 2 months of markets every single week. Unfortunately, now it's a pile of scrap metal. I'm going to see if a local welder can reattach/reinforce the two ends, otherwise I'll have to order a new one. I still recommend this canopy, since it held up better and is easier to figure out than most others I've seen at dozens of markets, but I'm disappointed that it broke so quickly. I was hoping to get at least 2 market seasons out of it. Update 8/14/16: I did get a welder to fix the broken piece, and that repair was far, far cheaper than buying a whole new canopy. It's been holding up great so far afterwards, had to tighten a few of the bolts that were coming loose and the cover has a few small leaks when it rains now (a more-motivated person with some scotchguard could probably have prevented that), but I am still happy with it. And a friend is ordering one for herself after seeing how well mine has held up. You can't find a better canopy for this price, especially when it's on sale for around $80. Update 6/23/17: It's still going strong, almost two months into the third year of market. Surprisingly, the cover is still in one piece and (so far, knock on wood) I haven't had any other issues with the frame. This has not been an easy start to the season, either, with 15+ mph or stronger winds almost every week. Sadly, the moron who borrowed my friend's canopy didn't put weights on it and it flipped and was ruined, but these will last with proper care and setup. Update 11/15/17: I officially love this canopy. It has survived a third year of high winds, storms, and other abuse at market every weekend and is none the worse for wear. I did have to patch the carrying case again, but it's held up well enough for a cheap piece of junk. Surprisingly, the canopy cover still doesn't really leak more than a drop here or there. One last note before I stop updating this review, take a minute now and then to gently tighten the nuts where the side pieces all connect. You'll need a small allen wrench, but it's worth it to not have to go searching the parking lot to find out where the dang thing bounced when they eventually loosen themselves and fall out. ... show more

  • After using this canopy twice the only good thing I can say is that yes it does ...
Size: 10'x10' base; 8'x8' top Color: Blue
If there was way to give a half of one star I would do it. After using this canopy twice the only good thing I can say is that yes it does give shade, however, it is not worth the trouble. First, this thing is heavy for just one person. I read reviews where people said you could put this up by yourself. Well I'm here to tell you unless you are tall and can stretch (elastigirl kind of stretching) yeah you could put it up by yourself. Oh forgot to mention you would have to put it up in perfect conditions I.e. no wind, and a sunny day. I've used it only twice and so far it has bent and one of the latching buttons has disappeared into the pole. If it was not so costly to send back I would be sending it back. My experience with this canopy is that it was awful and it turned a fun day into an ordeal. Save your money and skip this one. ... show more

  • Cheap but DOES NOT WORK!
Size: 10'x10' base; 8'x8' top Color: Blue
This canopy is advertised As “Durable” with features such as bolts instead of rivets among others...DONT BE FOOLED!! This thing is a piece of junk. We put it up for an event amongst dozens of other canopies from different brands in light weather with winds up to 10-15 mph. In less than an hour, the canopy frame was mangled, the legs bent, and it was no longer able to hold its shape and serve its purpose as a canopy over the food. It may be cheap, but it doesn’t work even in mild weather! ... show more

  • Save your money/time. Spend more and get a BETTER PRODUCT.
Size: 12x12 Color: White
This pop up broke upon opening it up. We made due (since we were already at the beach). After the day, we packed up, and i messaged the manufacturer. The manufacturer then recommended that we just get the broken piece replaced. So we did. After getting the "part" in the mail, we opened up the tent again to do the replacement. Then, ANOTHER piece broke. Now, I have been using pop ups every week for almost 6 years (for work). I've never had this happen. So, I reached back out to the manufacturer, and all they wanted to do, was send a replacement for the NEWLY broken piece. At this point, I just asked for a total replacement of the tent, or a refund. They declined both options. I now own a broken pop up tent. and have nothing else to show for it. ... show more
