Someone mentioned this product smelling strongly of chemicals; that it was likely dangerous/toxic, etc etc... I went ahead and ordered it since there was only one review that mentioned this. So I'm going to address this concern first: This nursing/car seat cover does not smell like chemicals. It does smell like unwashed fabric; possibly dye. This smell is made worst by being packaged in an air-tight bag (which I love, by the way) for an extended period of time. A lot of factories also just have a "smell" (coming from someone who's worked in several warehouses) which doesn't mean they're full of chemicals. If you've ever purchased any clothing from Walmart or Target, they usually have a very distinctive smell to them. Once again, this is just due to long exposure to the packaging they arrive at the store in; being stocked in a warehouse for a while before eventually being put up in a store. This applies to fabrics you buy at fabric stores or otherwise; cheap or pricey. Any new item you buy should ALWAYS be washed before it touches yourself and especially your baby. This is even more important for anything purchased online. However, even in a store - you have no idea where it's been - or who's touched it - before (or after) being displayed in said store. With that being said - this cover exceeded my expectations! I'm a big believer in "you get what you pay for" and have spent hundreds of dollars to get quality goods (even clothing). But this cover is really great; I don't even know how they found materials cheap enough to sell the finished product at such a low price! I'd planned on making my own cover but couldn't do that for this price. I'm a hermit so I rarely go out; any nursing cover i buy will get minimal use. But I get really frustrated having to constantly readjust the blankets I use while nursing in public and have even had my daughter rip it off me; flashing everyone. I'm not shy... But I imagine it's embarrassing for other people. So this cover was the perfect option for me! Its soft, stretchy, and comfortable. A little bit see-through but you'd have to really look to notice (so no one is going to see any boob... Promise). I'd compare the fabric to bathing suit material, which makes sense (considering the fabric contents - 95% polyester 5% spandex). Its not a super fancy garment (do you really expect that for $6?) but it's not cheaply made either, despite obviously being made in China. The stitching is very well done; by machine. I haven't noticed any loose threads. The pattern is straight and meets up at the seams perfectly. It does seem rather small. For my petite body, it goes on easily - but I can see it being somewhat snug on a bigger person (that is, the neck/smaller hole). Despite this, it should still fit most body shapes (including larger women) and work well for its intended purpose. I haven't had a chance to use it since I plan to wash it by hand (to avoid any possible shrinking, although I doubt there'd be any). I love the stripes but would have loved having the option of solid colors. All in all I'm very happy with my purchase and I'd 100% buy it again! ... show more

This car seat cover is great! It fits over our graco car seat easily, and the design is super cute! It will need to be washed, because it smells like dyed fabric, but after that it will be perfect.

As a carseat cover, I like this way better than the kind that attaches with Velcro to the handle and then flaps around. I've used it for the cool wind, light rain, and as a shade, and been satisfied. And it's small-ish for storage in a diaper bag. As a nursing cover, I didn't care for it as much as some others, but it definitely works.
