I have been wanting to get a roof rack for my Scion XB and non over the Amazon counter seams to fit. This rack has been the one that almost fit. I was able to install the rack but once I tighten the nut the latch (not sure what its called) came off the door jam. In summary, for an 05 scion XB not a good option.     • Very difficult to get tightened down
These bars come with a picture-only direction pamphlet. It fails to tell you, you have extra pieces, so you think putting it together is going to be way more complicated, but you don’t use all the pieces, only the ones that fit your vehicle. Wasn’t difficult to put pieces together but attaching to the roof: that is horrendous in my opinion. I loosened and tightened bolts 50 times it seemed, to get the system to not slide or wobble. I ended up putting rubber padding under the clip to prevent scratching and to take up space so the rails would fit better. They do seem sturdy and will serve the purpose but I don’t think I would recommend based on difficulty installing and very poor directions. ... show more

    • Terrible instructions
The instructions are cursory at best. Going to seller’s store is a waste of time, as in this product is not even LISTED. If I had attempted this build prior to the 30 day window, I’d be returning it. Time putting together = 6 hours. The soft rubber pads which need to be placed under the foot seats (to protect vehicle finish) continuously pop off during placement of rack, and are poorly seated - impossible to mount all four of them flush with vehicle roof. The foot seat clamps strip paint from where they attach to the vehicle. This can be theoretically avoided by placing duck tape where they seat, but increases the risk of failure while traveling. The lesson her is to spend the extra $$ and purchase a roof rack specifically designed for your vehicle make, model &. year. ... show more

    • Don’t waste your money
Fell apart on the highway. Flew off the car. Lost and damaged several of our clothes and military uniforms. Cheap product.
