I ordered this item last year and life got really busy so I did not open/assemble until recently. Big mistake! The box felt heavy so when I finally opened it it was surprised at how lightweight the pieces were. While the poles were wrapped in bubble wrap and box was heavily taped, some poles were dented and paint was chipped. I figured the damage occured during shipping and since I knew it was long past the return window, I figured it wasn't worth the fuss. When I got to the canopy cover, it became obvious that this item was returned as damaged and re-sold to me. I could see that there were circular perforation holes covered by tape. I imagine this happened when the holes for the grommets were punched due to the shape and location so I contacted seller about a replacement cover. (I accepted the bent/poles & chipped paint as I figured that was from shipping but they clearly KNEW the cover was damaged before sending it to me). I was advised that their warranty was for 6 months and they did not have spare parts. If you need a cheap canopy for short term, this would work fine but with a 6 month warranty, I don't expect it to outlast that by much. And open it and inspect the parts as soon as possible! ... show more

I bought this to help protect my chickens from the snow and wet ground. It looked awesome and worked well for rain but the first heavy snow the entire carport collapsed breaking the metal poles in half. It was a mess. Luckily it crashed at night when the chickens were safe in their coop.
