These work well and seem to be properly centered. They can handle a very large amount of use. It is unfortunate that it uses a smooth shank at the end, but the hex shank is still accessible for my drill.

    • Ok but they do not feel well made
I ordered this set of buffing pads for my cordless drill. I needed some small buffing polishing jobs done. One of the prijects was fir one of my metal models and the buffing pad I chose did the job done but was not in good condition afterwards. I felt like these could not be used a few times but was use and toss. Thinking this was a metal item and maybe there were sharp edges I did not know about, I tried it on another project. I may be able to use that one only one more time. I will see. For the price and most of my needs, this may not ve an ideal type to buy again. They do very well though and polishing with this style on a metal model is no easy task. I would have made this a 3.5 stars because they feel disposable. I chose 4 stars because they did such a good job on my metal projects and models and most I have tried flake out or just don't do that well. ... show more

Works great for polishing nook's and crannys on your vehicle. With a little polish I got my wheels and headlights looking new.

    • Does what they are supposed to do
Polishing wheels like this are only as good as the cleaner or polish you use in conjunction with them. You certainly shouldn't be using these dry if you want to do any kind of polishing where you want to bring out a look that currently doesn't exist in the item you're polishing. What I mean by that is unless you want to go over an existing highly polished surface just to "reset" the polished look, where a quick buffing with a CLEAN polishing wheel works best, you should put some sort of cleaner on it. I used a couple of these to remove some fine scratches on a clear plastic screen cover on a project I was working on for somebody. I used the short beveled wheel with a little bit of Novus 2 (same stuff people use to remove scratches from CDs and DVDs) to work some scratching off of the plastic surface. I did not need to use a lot because Novus 2 works pretty well with hand polishing to remove scratches from plastic. I didn't want to overdo the job when using a powered polishing wheel. After I saw the light scratches had gone, I switched to the large beveled wheel and LIGHTLY buffed the surface while the wheel was clean and dry. This reinforced the surface gloss and helped to remove any remaining Novus polish. I did notice that on both wheels, they do tend to fling off dust from the wheel material at first. Probably due to manufacturing remnants. That dust was a bit of a nuisance, but it didn't affect the work. It simply lets me know that these wheels might eventually wear down to nothing. Your cleaning compound will sling off, too, if you try to spin it too fast. When that happens exactly is probably based on how hard you work the wheel. Work things lightly and let the wheel do its job. Don't try to rush the process. ... show more

    • Nice buffing wheels, but prepare for lots of lint.
These buffing wheels are working well. My only issue is, especially for your first use, they throw off a lot of lint. So you may want to be careful about where you use them until that problem resolves. I hope that helps. Thanks for reading and liking.

    • Great value for a variety of useful sizes
I’ve used buffing wheels of various sizes a lot over the last twenty years of woodturning. I know what to expect from and these meet my expectations. They are a little smaller than what I typically use for buffing out wood turnings, a lot bigger than I use for polishing jewelry, but that’s why I find these worth getting, the allow me to apply them to projects I would have had to pass over in the past.     • Helps Keep My Wheels Clean
This is a less labor-intensive method for cleaning the wheels on my E89 Z4. The polishing tips are easy to use and very effective, and the cloth is extremely soft. I haven't had any issues so far but will update my review if any come up.
