This is a great affordable tester. I watched a YouTube video that featured this tester. I tried it the next day after it arrived on both my cars and it worked flawlessly. It works very well but the cord is too short. It asked me to hold the throttle at 2500 then hit enter on the tester but I couldn’t because of the cables be too short. It requires battery voltage to operate so if you’re dealing with a completely dead battery it wouldn’t turn on. I’m usually working alone and I need to be able to do all the test myself so I’m going to return it solely because of the short cable. The clamps are molded onto the cables. ... show more

This little gem is great. It’s worth every penny I paid for it. I was told by a good friend, this was the way to go. I have now used it numerous times, it’s quick, accurate, easy to operate, and very portable. Hope this helps

    • No more battery mysteries
This unit was highly recommended in several You Tube videos. The BT100 clearly says what it does in the manual and does what it offers when connected to the battery. For once you don't need to charge something since the unit gains its power when connected to the battery source. The battery in my car charged up fine, but there was a lingering question as to whether the battery was in need of replacement. I could not exactly remember when I changed the battery in the specific car. The BT 100 answered my questions. The charge was 100% and it listed the battery in good condition. I did not try the other functions as yet, but the videos showed the range of capability of the unit. The cost is reasonable, and of all the car stuff that I have, I did not have anything that tested the condition of the battery. A good unit to have on hand. ... show more

    • Nice tester and easy to use
I originally bought the Topdon AB101 model and it worked intermittently. I found the battery clamps very finicky and difficult to get positioned correctly to get any results. Often the unit would just show "testing" and never give any results. Topdon did right by me and I ended up getting the BT100 tester. First off, the clamps are far superior and make much better contact with the battery terminals. The test results come up fast and I like the cranking test and the charging test features as well. For a pure digital battery tester, this BT100 is the way to go. I can easily recommend this particular model. UPDATE 5/20/24: This manufacture has continued to respond and make me happy with my purchase. It is rare today to find companies that not only stand behind their products but do right by their customers who buy their products. I have to say, I am very impressed. ... show more
