It was relatively easy to assemble and that’s coming from someone who isn’t super handy and hates allen wrenches. It’s extremely sturdy and it also looks nice. It’s a real value at the price in my opinion also.

I bought this rack so that my dumbbells would take up less horizontal space. It has the perfect number of slots for my 5-25lb set of dumbbells. Having a ratchet set made it easier to put together. There were some openings that seemed slightly off, so I had to really crank on my ratchet to force it into the right position. I might've been able to solve this by loosening all of the bolts and then slowly re-tightening them bit by bit, but I didn't feel like going to that effort since I had the right tools for the job. It might be a bit more of a struggle to put together if you don't have your own tools. After building it, it looks great, is solid, and seems to be made of good, sturdy metal. The one part about it that bothers me is how close together the two sides of the cradles are. When you are holding a dumbbell in one hand and try to place the dumbbell into one of the cradles, the metal pieces are too narrow to simply guide it down all the way without pinching your hand under the weight of the dumbbell. So it's often pretty awkward to return dumbbells to their cradle. To fix this, the weight rack would have to be more bulky, though, and surely more expensive, so I'm not too bothered given how inexpensive it was. Anything much heavier than the 25lb dumbbells that I have in the rack might start to be a real problem, but I think it's a great, cheap option for lighter dumbbells that aren't difficult for you to move around. ... show more

Exactly what I was looking for! I was hesitant on buying because the reviews were saying only select dumbbell brands fit and parts were missing to assemble but I’m glad I didn’t listen!! It was super easy to put together and holds my weights perfectly! It's nice and sturdy, way better than I was expecting for the price! Now my weights are nicely organized in a space saving way! I did put a piece of cardboard under it to not ruin our carpet.

Nice product. But only buy this if you plan to put dumbbells weighing 3/5/8/10/15/20 and/or maybe a 25 on it. Larger dumbbells with the big, rubber coated, hex head weights will not fit. I tried to skip a slot and store my 35/40/45’s on it. Didn’t fit. And the opening for your hand to grab the dumbbell is very narrow. Again, great for SMALL weights. ... show more

This rack was perfect for on top of one of my cabinets. Good overall weight, spacing between barbells, black protection on each level, and great color selection. And yes it was easy to put together, but you do need a pair of pliers , or ratchet, to hold the wing nut while you tighten with the little tool they supply to make sure the pieces are cranked down for stability.
