  • Awesome lens
I have the kit lens, also a 24 to 105, and this lens is far superior. Image quality is awesome. I would recommend this upgrade to everyone.

  • Great lens at F4
I love this lens. Looking for a faster version. This is my daily driver as photographer

  • Great image quality and fast focus speed
What i liked most about this lens was the high quality of the images it produces at any focal leng, great files using it with our canon R3 and R5, also is one of the canon lens that has incredible focus speed and accuracy. The stabilizer is so good and more if it is combined with canon IBIS.

  • For RF-series cameras
The optical quality and performance of this glass is outstanding. I own the previous EF version as well and this is simply a better lens -- and that one is no slouch. Unlike its larger-aperture cousin its light and small enough to not be ridiculous when carrying it around on the camera; yes, the (much) more expensive version does have one more stop of light-gathering, but at commensurate cost in both money and mass. If you need it then you do, but for non-moving subjects, unless you want the bokeah of the larger-aperture the IS (which does an excellent job of compensating for "you" shake but cannot do anything to stop the motion of the subject) means you probably don't. • Top Shelf
All I can say is wow there is no comparison between this awesome lens and the kit lens that came with my R8. It says renewed, but you can absolutely not tell this lens from brand new Also, a savings of $274 over new and literally no compromise. Fear not purchase this lens! It can take your photos to the next level. ... show more

  • Beautiful lens for the Canon R5
Looking forward to using this more but so far it has worked just fine with my Canon EOS R5. The lens was in brand-new condition as far as I can see and there have been no problems connecting with the R5. A minor point, but I find the sleek outer design more attractive than my old 24-105 mm lens.

  • **Does not come with accessories!**
The lens itself is fine. The "renewed" versions sold by 3rd party outlets do NOT seem to come with accessories. That means no lens hood, no carrying case, etc. That said, when I gave the retailer I purchased from (Phoenix Photo) a call and let them know that the listing seemed to imply that it would at least come with generic accessories, they agreed to send me an accessory kit at no extra cost. As far as the lens itself goes, I'd give it 3 stars. It's not a particularly sharp lens, it's a little slow at f/4, CA is there but not TOO bad, it displays some barrel distortion at the wide end and some pincushioning at the long end. On the plus size, 24-105 is a good zoom range, the constant aperture, while slow, is at least constant throughout the zoom range, the stabilization is pretty good, and it has a very sleek design with physical switches for AF/MF and stabilization, as well as a zoom lock. The extra star just goes to Phoenix Photo for sending me the accessories. If I were to do it all again, I'd probably just buy new because the official lens hood is around $60 to $70 by itself, which eats up a lot of the discount offered by the renewed models. The official hood is really the one you want because it doesn't tie up the filter threads like generic 3rd party hoods do. ... show more
