I couldn't afford the new lens so I took a chance on this refurbished unit. So far I am extremely happy with this decision. The physical appearance is like new except the hood which has some scratches on it. I'm fine with that because now I don't worry about scratching it. Lol The auto focus is fast and accurate. The images are crisp and clear. I haven't done extensive testing at all focal ranges and f-stops but what I have seen so far makes me happy! I would do this again and recommend it to others. It produces amazing photos and works great. The only downside is that the lens slides out of your zoom. Not a big deal but just so you're aware.
