I have been feeding Canidae for years, changed to Turkey 5 years ago they love it, but most of all there coats shine no scratchingthey are very healthy, one is 7 one is almost 4.

    • This food changed my bassett hounds life!!

My 10 year old Bassett Hound is a dream dog. He is sweet and smart and his daddy and I love him to the moon. However, he became super stinky in the last couple of years! He was scratching a lot and his skin was inflamed. We felt terrible. We tried all kinds of things. Sprays, chamomile tea baths (worked temporarily!), expensive shampoos, etc. Nothing helped :( he was stinky and not himself. Then my sister mentioned yeast as a culprit! I thought, why not? So I researched yeast free dog foods. Their are a lot out there but this one stood out for me. We saw a difference in our little stinky hound within 2 days!! Hes not scratching, hes no longer greasy and best of all, we can't call him "stinker" anymore because it just doesn't suit him!! This food changed our lives! ... show more

We love this food and buy two bags per month to feed our English Mastiffs. Generally it is fine, but we've received a couple bags that were cut open and visibly taped shut within the facility or that were open within the box (probably opened en route). However, when you buy 24 bags a year I suppose you can expect to have some issues. ... show more

    • Beware the bag

The bag is so freaking weak that when it is delivered, it generally has a hole in it of varying sizes. Amazon did start putting them in boxes (and eventually by themselves instead of packing other items in the box too) but the tape has usually broken and the box is barely hanging on together. When you get the bag, be careful not to drop it too hard because the bag will break open, generally at one of the seams. The dogs like the food, and they do great on it. We have a 14 year old mastiff/choc lab, a 7 year old English Shepherd, and a 15 month old rottie. They all do good. The chickens and cats even eat it instead of their own food. So beware of 2 things: the bag busting open easily, and EVERYTHING likes to eat it. 😂 ... show more

I have 3 GSD 2yrs, 5 months, and 3 months. They can all eat the same food, big plus. Better than that each of them looks great, and they are healthy. This food is good stuff. I have tried other brands, I'm glad I found this one.

    • Can cause bladder stones in some dogs

My dogs love the taste of this food and it made their coats look great, but one developed silica bladder stones and the vet said it was diet related- likely the brown rice. So I had to change to another food. He’s had no problems since then
