Used it to install Trex composite decking. The device works great, it just takes getting a little used to it in order to determine how far away to place the device. I bought 2 of these, and honestly for a 12' long composite deck board 3 probably would have worked a little better. I would have put one on each end and then one in the middle. I was able to use 2 anyway, I just kept working my way down the board, leaving no more than about 4 to 5 ft between clamps. ... show more

Worth every penny if you do decks often. Can straighten a 16ft deck board in less than a minute, or you can straighten multiple deck boards at once and save ungodly amounts of time. Not sure how I ever went through life without these! They are limited when you get close to objects and that's why it pays to have the Stanley board bender as well. 100% will buy again if something ever happens to the three I currently have. ... show more

I built a 16x22 foot deck using pressure treated decking. The tool was very helpful but it's grip on the floor joist can be much better. It will fit on a single joist or double joist. It was easier to muscle the boards tight with this tool without damaging the joist tape already installed.
