I didnt end up needing them but i can think of a few other things i can use them for. They can make a foundation for a shed with running joists horizontally through them…. Holds everything up off the ground so they don’t rot…they’ll get used.

I previously used concrete forms as deck pillars. These polymer forms were easy to use and seem just as sturdy. It will take time to determine the long term value, but for certain during construction they were far better than the old style forms.

I used these for the base of a pool deck. They're easier to adjust (for position) than concrete blocks, and the slight amount of vertical flex means that you don't have to get the height perfectly right in order to attain levelness.

    • Will your building inspector accept this concrete footing substitute?
I took down a Camo Block to my building inspection office in Blacksburg, VA. They said that because this is new product they are unfamiliar with I must submit an evaluation report from ICC, Intertech, or similar construction product service they will not accept this and would not approve the project (10’ x 27’ floating deck). One bullet item in the CAMO Installation Guide says to check with your local building codes before moving ahead with project. This should actually be highlighted in product description on Amazon and elsewhere online as you might wait until after ordering before you learn of this restriction as CAMO Block does not have ICC or similar report. Luckily, Tuffblocks do have an ICC evaluation report and certification. I will be using them instead. ... show more
