This is a process, but if you are patient, this product absolutely works. I used hot soapy water to immerse copper and brass items, applied the comet and used a Scrub Daddy to remove film, tarnish, et al.     • Superior to alternative brands in cleaning copper bottoms on pots
My local supermarkets stopped selling this and I was forced to try other cleaners that were for brass/copper. The contrast in their effectiveness was unbelievable. I had to use the alternate several times to try to remove staining on the copper bottoms of my pots and had to scrub hard. It was so disappointing that I thought to try to find the brand my Mom had always used, Cameo, on-line. When I found it via Amazon, I was so glad. If I'm not mistaken, the Cameo product I used to use was specifically for Copper. This one says "Copper, Brass & Porcelain cleaner" on the label. I hoped that it would still work as good as the old Cameo Copper cleaner we used to use and I believe it is as good. What I can say for sure is it is definitely superior to the alternatives. I will only buy the Cameo brand for cleaning copper. What a difference! ... show more

I've been buying expensive liquid & paste polishes and working way too hard to keep my copper & brass presentable. Then I found an old container of Cameo Copper Polish under my sink. It is a powder & works sooo much better than the fancy newer liquids. Couldn't find it in any local stores so I ordered thru Amazon. Package arrived in 1 - ONE day! As a Professional Handyman, I am asked to do many things. My customer's vinyl siding was seriously stained due to very hard well water. I tried every product under my kitchen sink. Nothing worked until I tried Cameo Copper Cleaner. I wet the area, loaded CCC on a brush, and scrubbed the siding until the stains began to move. Be aware that the item pictured which shows the original copper cleanser that Brillo/Cameo sold IS not what you will receive. The new version which has a silver label will NOT clean your copper bottom pans. Tried to leave a review on Brillo's website as well asking them to bring back the original formula made specifically for copper. ... show more

I introduced Cameo Copper cleanser to my Mom over 30 years ago, when she could no longer find the cleaner she always used on her set of Revere copper bottom pans. The pans are now nearly 60 years old, still used daily, and they look like new. When the Covid virus hit, the store shelves quickly emptied. I am so pleased to find Cameo Copper Cleanser at Amazon! This has been my go-to copper & brass polish for decades, and it has vanished from local stores. It takes minimal effort to polish brassware and copper pots using Cameo shaken onto a damp sponge. Brasso is a pain in the neck (rub and rub and rub some more) and Maas takes too much labor and is expensive. Added benefit: I never before realized Cameo Copper Cleanser was effective on stainless steel. I tried it on my sink and it's a beautiful thing. ... show more
