and that problem is I can only give 5 stars? I would give 10 stars. Why I see any negativity on these I don’t understand. I know everyone has different taste but I find the minimal fusses unwarranted. These were originally meant for the main guest room. Not anymore. They came right off and went in our master bedroom that had 400 tc. We put the 400 count tc in guest room. We were afraid anyone visiting would never go home with these sheets on that bed and wanting an extra night here...LOL...These sheets are amazing...1000%. Received, Washed, gentle cycle, then in light warm dryer until just slightly damp then draped sheets over a chaise and a sofa. Went on with our day. That evening all was dry and not a single wrinkle. Smooth as can be. Our mattress has a pillow top and at 12”, with a 3” topper on that and a 1” quilted Mattress pad for extra softness on top of that and the fitted sheet fit perfect with about 2” under edges. I like to lay on a cloud and with these sheets on it’s finally all complete. More than enough of top sheet to tuck under foot of mattress and envelope fold the corners and sheet edge at head of bed is right at mattress edge. We didn’t have to pull it back to get enough for going under foot of mattress for tucking. Elastic all around edges tucks nice. Not heavy sheets, which I was afraid these 600 tc might have been and not a skimpy sheer either. Absolutely perfect weight. Last are the pillow cases. We have large overstuffed pillows. These pillow cases cover the entire pillow with room to spare. My other pillow cases had the pillow at the edge of the case. That annoyed me. Don’t have that problem anymore. Now that we are happy with these sheets we can order a second set of pillow cases bc we have 4 pillows. I think “Egyptian Cotton” is way overrated. 100% cotton is the key. I’m called the bed sheet snob. I’m happy now. Happiest I’ve been with comfy sheets now in forever. I was tempted to go for the $200+ sheets but just couldn’t make myself do it. Turns out getting these was a great decision. I’m a hot sleeper and had zero problems with sweating. My wife is a cold sleeper and she had no problems at all. That’s a first. You will probably keep looking now, reading reviews trying to figure who is fussing for nothing, what’s better and so on, like I did. I would throw these in your cart now in the meantime bc when you are finished shopping you will come back to these. I am OCD everything and spent so much time researching here reading reviews and reading reviews on the internet. I kept resolving back to these. I found a lot of conflicts with reviews on those other big name super expensive sheets outside of Amazon. All just a gimmick. In the end, save yourself a lot of time and just buy these. I’ve been burnt sooooo many times with descriptions not being what they claimed and stuck with just ok sheets and some junk. Not anymore and never had to spend a ton of $. We are pushing all the other sheets to the back of the linen closet and maybe our children will want them for their guest bedrooms. Our collection of sheets have gotten way out of hand. I will park my sheet buying days with California Design Den from now on. Never before have we ever went back to another set of sheets a second time. I love these new sheets. I washed them before using them just like the instructions said, on a long wash. I did not use any fabric softener in them because I personally don't like the feel of fabric softener in my clothing, so I only use it on fabrics that need to have a reduction in static electricity. These sheets are moderately thick, I would prefer them to be a little thicker but they feel substantial. They are long staple cotton with no anti-wrinkling additives so if you don't like wrinkles in your sheets you may not like these. I have found two ways of dealing with that. One is to wash them and hang them on the line outside to dry. Not many people do that anymore but I have found it makes the sheets look as if they have been ironed. If you haven't tried this in a long time give it another try. Yes the sheets are not as soft but boy do they feel and smell fresh and "crisp." The other way is to take them out of the dryer and put them directly on the bed again, in which case you won't be rotating your sheets, or take them directly from the dryer and fold them immediately. The elastic on the fitted sheet is nice and thick and flat. It's really a pain to fold those types of sheets but they make the sheet fit so much better on the mattress it's the price you pay I suppose. I watched a video on YouTube explaining how to neatly fold a fitted sheet of this type. I can make it look pretty neat but when I unfold it to put it on the bed it's obvious that it wasn't professionally done. Overall I would say these are very good sheets. They seem to be sturdy and well sewn and the material is a good quality. I still don't like them as much as the Pinzon Egyptian cotton sheets that I used to get on Amazon, but apparently those are out of production now. I would like to have another set, but I'll probably look for some sheets that are a little thicker. That's just my personal preference. ... show more

I was immediately amazed by he silky smooth fine threads and weave of these gorgeous sheets. But decided to trust that the sellers knew their product and follow their instructions to wash them before use, so I managed to put aside my impatience to jump into bed with them right then and put them by themselves in my 85 minute cold water wash with Tide Free and Gentle washing liquid, followed by cold water rinses with no fabric softener or leaves. When I pulled them out after the spin cycle I could hardly believe my eyes and touch. They were not so silky but the texture was the finest of any sheets upon which my bod had laid. I dried them separately, removed ten promptly , opening an shaking each one. NO.WRINKLES, and even softer than when they arrived. They are as light as a feather, the hand is so beautiful, and I am now buying more for the rest of our beds I feel ike royalty sleeping in these, Such miracles of modern fabric science.All this and easy care and elegant design and sewing details too.
