Since the garmin z82 can’t have a magnet to attach to the cart roof support, this is the next best thing. The z82 has a magnetic compass to find a blind hole location. A magnetic mount would cause that not to work.

Bought this for my MGI electric cart. Fits easily and securely. As advertised will hold my rangefinder securely in the padded pouch. Could be used for keys or other items as well. My phone is a little too tall for the pouch I think so would feel that it might come out during round but haven't tried that yet. ... show more

I'm very glad I found the Caddy Buddy. I feel a little spoiled. Getting your range finder out over tall drinks or putting it somewhere in the middle of the cart dash is a bit of a pain. This product solves a real 1st world problem ;o) The Caddy Buddy feels very well built and the range finder appears to be very secure. I've used it for several rounds without any cause for concern. The only negative I would share is that it's kinda geeky looking because it sticks out a little more than it should aesthetically speaking. However, I believe that's the comprise for having a clamp jaw that will enable the device to attach to wider objects. We have our own golf cart so leaving it on the cart is not a problem for me ;o) ... show more
