  • The most amazing thing about this is that the cable withstood 2 ...
Size: 125 ft Color: Black
Ok, I've had this product already for 2 years and all I can say is that it's durable as hell! I'm using it for my next door neighbor who has fiber and well wanted to share it with me, so the cable is exposed to constant sun light, water, etc.... I live in Puerto Rico. The most amazing thing about this is that the cable withstood 2 CATEGORY 5 HURRICANES(Hurricane Maria and Hurricane Irma) !!! without taking damage (the cable is literally hanging from my roof to his roof). So if you want a good durable cable this is the one you should choose. ... show more

  • don't buy them if you're using for video transmission!
Size: 75 ft Color: Black
I bought two of Cable Matters Cat6 Ethernet Cable 75ft each and the Cable Matters Active USB 3.0 Extension 32ft, I needed them for a theatre show to transmit video signal. I've tested the 75 ft Cat6 Ethernet Cable with my HDMI transmitter, the signal was lagging and consistently transmitting about 3-5 frames per second. I've swapped to another 100 ft Cat 5e that the theatre had for backup, the video signal was smooth and clear. I also tested the USB 3.0 extension with regular Logitech usb camera, the frame rate was also really low, about 3-5 frames per second. I had to borrow another extension and the signal became smooth and normal again. After these 2 testings, my conclusion is that Cable Matter's cable quality definitely has some issues. It was a waste of my money and my time. It also wasted some of the tech time that I had in the theatre trying to trouble shoot this and finding backup solutions. I recorded some video of me testing both the Cable Matter's cable and another brand and show that Cable Matter's quality has some clear problems while another brand does the job. Now that I have these 3 cables are pretty much useless for me. I've send them back for return. It wasted quite a bit of my time, so I just wanted to share with y'all here, be aware of this brand's cable, at least if you're looking to do video transmission! ... show more

  • all ethernet cables from this company are defective
Size: 20 ft Color: White
I invested hundreds in new cables for 4 homes from this company. They are all defective. As the cables heat up with usage, the plastic on the connectors start to expand, making it later almost impossible to pull them out of the ports. I have damaged a port on a $1500 Ubiquiti switch this way, just from trying to pull out one of these cables. Avoid. ... show more

  • Limited to only 100 Mbps
Size: 100 ft Color: Black
I've had this cable for a couple of years. Seemed reliable enough, but I never tested the speed until now. I can get nearly 1Gbps out of all my 5e cables, but this supposedly 6 cable taps out right around 100 Mbps up and down. Definitely can't use it for the new run. :(

  • Good Customer Service
Size: 150 ft Color: White
The cable was kinked about 26 feet into the spool. I did notice this before starting but went ahead and installed the cable anyway. I knew I only needed about 120 - 125 feet and decided to risk it. It worked out fine in the end, but if I needed the full 150 feet that I ordered, this would have gone right back. Also worth noting is that this cable is stranded, not solid conductor. At this price point, I expected stranded. I just thought I share this finding in case it's important to someone else. *update* Cable Matters contacted me and offered replacement. I let them know that the cable had already been cut and installed, so they offered a partial refund to make good on the bad cable. Good to know that they stand behind their product. Will buy again if needed. ... show more

  • Good reason for 5 stars
Size: 35 ft Color: Black
I can't speak to the electrical qualities of the cabling--although it streams Netflix fine from my router to my TV--but the physical qualities of the cable are terrific. How often have you had a cable connector stick in a modem, router, or other device? The connectors on these cables are top quality. They go in smoothly and remove smoothly, yet lock in consistently for a quality connection. I've paid three times the price at a name brand national computer retailer with disappointing results. I also love that there are multiple lengths available (at least in black), which has made my particular application much neater. Buy this brand. You'll be glad you did. ... show more

  • Works great and was reasonably priced. Very happy.
Size: 150 ft Color: White
We thought wifi was where it's at, but my 13 year old son vehemently disagrees. Apparently his computer games have "wifi lag" and he needed to be hardwired in order to play at his fullest potential. Blah blah blah, we gave the kid what he wanted because he is a great child who sincerely thinks milliseconds matter. He is very happy and so we are too. We ran this from our main floor modem, upstairs to his room, into an old router and used two short ethernet cords out to my son's PS4 and his gaming desk computer. He is very happy and we found the cord works well. It was very much beneficial to get the wifi hog (my kid) wired up, lol. I got the Cat6 instead of 5, because although my research shows little to no difference today, I didn't want to have to upgrade in another 18 months because my kid outgrew the previous version. Very pleased. ... show more

  • Obviously not even Cat5e at the very least
Size: 100 ft Color: Black
I'm very dubious to the claim that "Cat6 performance at a Cat5e price but with higher bandwidth." And it's obvious in this case either the QC is bad or more likely it's not a cat6 cable. Cable was maxing out with 50mb/sec and and has tons of bufferbloat issues. Just grab a cheap old cat5e from a reliable vendor and be on your way. ... show more
