  • I learned a lot from this book
I bought this book for school and was dreading to read it, cause I hate to read in general. Surprisingly, I thought it was decent and learned a lot about businesses. It makes you think and it's perfect for people that want to be entrepreneurs one day!

  • This book transcends time and culture
This book and it's principles will profoundly impact your journey as an entrepreneur. My business, an organic food technology start up company, has a lot of moving parts and it's complex on many levels. I decided early on to incorporate these principles. Im glad that I did. Especially, the part where he talks about the hotel and how every single task and how to do it is defined and measured. This is tedious, but you cannot scale, and you cannot adequately measure a person's performance unless every single aspect of exactly what they do is defined step by step. I once heard a growing company does not provide jobs, it provides opportunity. Unfortunately, many people are looking for a job, when you take away the mystery of how long it takes to get something done, and the technique necessary to do it right... there is nothing for a a lazy, unmotivated employee to hide behind. Get the book if you haven't. It isn't a best seller because of hype. Dave ... show more

  • Gold Standard
my review isn't meant to say Gerber is 100% correct on everything and his further services should be used. But, if you open a small business, or abandon a business that is troubled, without reading this book you are making a mistake. Really designed for the single person start-up or maybe owner and less than five employees. At the price any business owner can get their money's worth. Great to give somone else who is thinking about opening a business. ... show more

  • E Myth Revisited
This book does a great job of forcing the business owner to think about working on the business versus working in the business. The idea of building your business like a franchise that you could duplicate over and over makes a lot of sense. Imagination, quantification, and orchestration are ways to think about the business, analyze the numbers, and build the model. Quick read and very thought provoking. ... show more

  • This is a VERY Useful Resource
It becomes very easy to get on the treadmill run yourself ragged to keep the business alive. The E-Myth Revisited describes how successful businesses operate and how that construct can be applied to a small business. This is a VERY useful resource.

  • It was fine, but it wasn't what I was expecting to ...
They show a picture of the new version of the book, but it was the older version. It was fine, but it wasn't what I was expecting to get in the mail.

  • I am so glad I read it
This book made me realize I am absolutely not cut out to run a business. I am so glad I read it. It really explained a lot.
