I like the desk so well I'm definitely planning on using it in the new house. Everyone was correct about how easy it was to put together. I did it alone and had no issues however, they recommend two people for assembly. My other desk was thousands of dollars and gorgeous, I hated storing it in a POD. I must say, as far as non-assembled furniture, this was by far the easiest thing I have ever put together. The instructions are clear and all the parts, including the hardware, are marked. The hardware is even separately packaged for each step which really helps. The only issue I had was some of the fasteners and the nails are in the back of the desk. so you have to leave clearance between the wall and the desk to get to those areas. Which means that if you want to put the desk against the wall after assembly it is going to be difficult. I purchased some sliders: Allstar Innovations EZ Moves Furniture Moving System for Carpeted & Hard Floor Surfaces, Move Heavy Furniture Quickly & Easily, As Seen on TV (1 Lifter Tool & 8 Sliders). These made moving the desk into position easy without breaking anything. The sliders come with 8n pieces which is exactly how many you need to fully support the L shape. You will want to use wood glue to assemble the Desk. The hutch instructions do mention glue but the desk instructions do not. I think gluing the pieces is a good idea. The only parts I found of no value were the little plastic caps that are supposed to cover the locking cams. They don't actually fit well and I didn't bother with them after putting on the first two. If the hole for the locking cams was deep enough to allow the caps to be flush with the wood it would be much better. The desk looks very nice even without the caps. ... show more

My first desk was damaged, and Amazon promptly had it picked up and replaced. The new desk arrived in perfect condition. I had a jumbled mismatch of office furniture in my new home, and I wanted something functional, but classic. I chose the Cape Cod Grey set. I love this furniture. It's got the hutch for keeping records and notebooks at my finger tips. I matched it up with a 2 drawer lateral file and the 6 cubby bookshelf. Looks great. I wish the desk had a file drawer, it only has a top drawer with a "cubby" underneath, but I'm making it work. ... show more

I got this desk for my home office space and I love it! It is definitely easier with two people to put together but it can be done with one. It is extremely heavy. The desk itself is very sturdy and easy to clean. I did not have any issues with it coming damaged or missing any pieces. Instructions were very clear and came in two separate boxes. I’ve never bought Bush Furniture before but definitely will again! I love that I was able to assemble this desk by myself and in about 3 hours total (including the hutch). The hardware for the desk component was separated and labeled by steps which I LOVED!! I plan on ordering the matching filing cabinet here soon! The only thing I plan to do is order new knobs because I don’t like the look of the ones it came with, but I had that thought when purchasing the desk. Delivery was perfect through Amazon and no damage whatsoever to the product. 10/10 recommend! ... show more
