    • BEAUTIFUL desk!!
So, this booger took well over three hours to build by myself. There were 30+ steps and one step was hammering in like 20 nails HOWEVER, it was so worth it. The desk is absolutely beautiful and very sturdy. Extremely pleased with the purchase.

    • Supper easy to assemble
I must say, as far as non-assembled furniture, this was by far the easiest thing I have ever put together. The instructions are clear and all the parts, including the hardware, are marked. The hardware is even separately packaged for each step which really helps. The only issue I had was some of the fasteners and the nails are in the back of the desk. so you have to leave clearance between the wall and the desk to get to those areas. Which means that if you want to put the desk against the wall after assembly it is going to be difficult. I purchased some sliders: Allstar Innovations EZ Moves Furniture Moving System for Carpeted & Hard Floor Surfaces, Move Heavy Furniture Quickly & Easily, As Seen on TV (1 Lifter Tool & 8 Sliders). These made moving the desk into position easy without breaking anything. The sliders come with 8n pieces which is exactly how many you need to fully support the L shape. You will want to use wood glue to assemble the Desk. The hutch instructions do mention glue but the desk instructions do not. I think gluing the pieces is a good idea. The only parts I found of no value were the little plastic caps that are supposed to cover the locking cams. They don't actually fit well and I didn't bother with them after putting on the first two. If the hole for the locking cams was deep enough to allow the caps to be flush with the wood it would be much better. The desk looks very nice even without the caps. ... show more

I got this desk for my home office space and I love it! It is definitely easier with two people to put together but it can be done with one. It is extremely heavy. The desk itself is very sturdy and easy to clean. I did not have any issues with it coming damaged or missing any pieces. Instructions were very clear and came in two separate boxes. One for the desk and the second for the hutch. I recommend this desk for anyone who needs more desk space. ... show more

My first desk was damaged, and Amazon promptly had it picked up and replaced. The new desk arrived in perfect condition. I had a jumbled mismatch of office furniture in my new home, and I wanted something functional, but classic. I chose the Cape Cod Grey set. I love this furniture. It's got the hutch for keeping records and notebooks at my finger tips. I matched it up with a 2 drawer lateral file and the 6 cubby bookshelf. Looks great. I wish the desk had a file drawer, it only has a top drawer with a "cubby" underneath, but I'm making it work. ... show more

So I’ll start by saying this is really heavy furniture and takes two people too lift. I’ll add it’s well worth the struggle of lifting it. It took some time to assemble as expected.     • Love the desk-but each part is a different color
Love ,love, love this desk. Very roomy. Nice and solid. The only problem is that it was supposed to be gray and only the hitch came in gray and the desk itself is more of a natural wood color. We already had the desk together and we’re working on the hutch when we noticed it. That is my only complaint. It stinks to pay so much for this piece of furniture and not get the color I paid for. Too much of a hassle to send it back due to its size plus, as I said, the desk was already done. ... show more
