I'll be honest, I was not at all sure I wanted to grab this Bulova Mens Quartz Marine Star Series A Silicone Strap. I have a great watch collection going. I really wanted a Bulova watch. And I like larger watches. This should have been a no-brainer. But, I was NOT at all sure about the rose gold. Would it work for me... would it look good... I just did not know. It was my wife who said to get it. She loved the rose gold, but she always does. And she knew I had been wanting the Bulova. They have a great reputation and look nice... but... I went ahead and grabbed it and I am SO glad I did! This is a handsome, classic looking watch, and the twist... I like the rose gold. it is NOT a color I ever thought I'd wear. But there is something handsome and refined about it. Something different. Something that stands out as being unique and cool. So here is the Bulova Mens Quartz Marine Star Series A Silicone Strap and I am glad to own it. The watch arrives in a nice box, suitable for gifting. It has a great look, classic and sharp and something you'd be proud to give - or get. Open the box to a nice looking piece. Hey, I am not a watch expert, but I've done a little reading over the last few years, and I know the Bulova brand is known and respected. I like this one. It has a sharp, handsome look in the way the face is laid out, the combination with the silicone band, and the overall appearance. This is a LARGE watch! I like 'em that way and I like the feel and weight of a larger watch. I love the feel of it being there and knowing it's there. I like how larger watches stand out and are not sitting back waiting to be seen - they are right there wanting to be seen. I am not talking ostentatious. I am talking proud and strong and secure in their presence. This one has that in spades. Wear it for work or pleasure, a night out, wedding, or almost anywhere. Yes, this is rose gold, but darn if it doesn't look sharp. I'm a GenX guy with a need for reading glasses now, so I try to look for watches that let me read them easily without my readers. This Bulova Mens Quartz Marine Star Series A Silicone Strap does that. I can't always spot the second hand - but who's looking that closely - but I can easily see the time with a glance and I love that. It saves time, and it saves face - from squinting and feeling self conscious. The strap is good. I don't have to worry about adjusting and it wears well. I've become a fan of the silicone style - I can wear it in the rain, a hot, humid day, or just any old time. It always wears well and this Bulova Mens Quartz Marine Star Series A Silicone Strap is not different. Setting is easy. There are the timers and such, but again, with my eyes these are not something I rely on or use often, but tried this and it seemed to work fine. In the end I love this watch. Bulova is a great mid-priced luxury watch and this one doesn’t disappoint. First it’s a “men’s” watch but how about we stop labelling by sex? Hello!!! I’m a female and LOVE this watch and “chunky” watches like this are super cute! I hate that they label them “mens” because dainty girly watches are NOT my thing, so ladies who love this style unite! This one is awesome! Pro: it’s everything you want in a watch. Accurate time, attractive, eye-catching! It is scratch resistant because I accidentally scraped it at work (on a desk… I’m a teacher) and no scratches so that’s a bonus! This is a gorgeous watch no doubt about that. It is everything you expect from Bulova plus more. I love the silicone watch strap - it is fun and sporty yet this watch also works as dressy too. The strap is thick and durable and stays black. The face rose gold accents against the black face really pop! It is quartz movement with mineral crystal and It is water resistant up to 100 meters -so no need to worry on those boating or pool days! It is a large face watch but with the rose gold and silicone band it works! It is handsome and distinguished.
