I've had sinus problems for most of my life. They were constantly clogged with thick immovable mucus. Breathing was never easy and I was usually a mouth breather. "Just blow your nose" never worked. It was like silly putty in there. Over the past year or so I developed tinnitus and I suspect it's related to my sinus problems. Then I randomly heard about NAC and decided to give it a try. I'm so glad I did. I've only been using it for the past couple of weeks but I feel completely different. I have more energy and a much more positive attitude, mainly because I can breathe properly now. I can breathe in my sleep, which was difficult for me for years. I would wake up feeling drained because I wasn't getting enough oxygen through the night. Now I wake up feeling refreshed and ready to go even if I haven't had a full 8 hours. Slowly but surely I can feel the pressure in my head subsiding and I think my tinnitus is slowly going away. Although I still experience it, it tends to go away from time to time. I hope it will go away completely at some point. I chose pure NAC because I didn't want any additives that are normally found in pills, mainly stearates. I scoop out about 800 g - 1000 g and mix it with about 3 oz of water and shoot it back. The taste is kind of like sulfury citric acid. Not too bad but not pleasant. It's not a big deal and I just wash it down with some more water. I don't have any side effects now but the first few times I took it I got an upset stomach and some pressure in my head. This doesn't happen anymore. I guess I'm just accustomed to it now. The pressure was probably mucus breaking up. Another side effect that only happed in the first few days was mucus in my lungs would break up and ot made it difficult to breathe for a bit. This was concerning but now it never happens. I guess it was mucus in my lungs breaking up. All in all, NAC has been a minor miracle for me. I can breathe now and feel so much better. If you have sinus problems, you should definitely give NAC a try. ... show more

EXCELLENT QUALITY! This fixed my lifelong struggle with inflammation & swollen eyelids. Highly recommend! I bought this to help with my joints and fascia, and was delighted to discover how well it works to treat sinus & eye conditions. It’s too early for me to report back on the effectiveness for my joints, but it repaired my lifelong problem of swollen eyelids after a single night’s use! This stuff works! The taste is not terrible—I almost like it. It has a strong citrus flavor, with a very faint sulphur aftertaste. I just swirl a little water in the measuring spoon and gulp it down. If you dilute in a full cup of water, the sulfur aftertaste is barely detectable. Definitely take this at night, or with a 2 hour window of not eating before/after for the best effect. ... show more

Product had an overwhelming odor of rotten eggs and soured the drink it was mixed with. Have used NAC from other companies and have NEVER had this issue. Contacted Bulk Supplements and was told "Leaving the product open in a well-ventilated area should dissipate the smell within an hour or so." Odor is too strong to do that. Bulk Supplements will issue a refund if I return the product at MY expense. Will never use/buy products from them again. ... show more

It basically smells like pure sulfur. Unfortunately, that's how NAC smells but it's quite beneficial for liver health so would recommend if you can stand the smell.
